“As a dj we are always competing with our own energy, to be a conduit and receiver, a carrier of the vibe. The less we calibrate and test that muscle, in playing and selecting, staying present - we’re still receiving all the energy, but it may be too much to balance, we’re less able to let it all flow. I suppose this is true of any practice and the foundation. Movement and stagnation, slow or fast, life is only death in motion. Music and dance is expression beyond an individual, we fuse with it and learn to flow.”

“I like to envision the impact the tracks would have on a live crowd whenever I'm recording… Ultimately, every mix or live set I do is an ode to soundsystem culture and the community setting which that culture encourages. This mix is steeped in my anticipation to get back to live shows with my peers and to enjoy the dance.”

“My intentions for this exfm mix was to express what I connect to and appreciate about music, parties, dancing, and summer. A chaotic blend of styles to keep the energy moving.”

“Without internet some months back, I took on the task of digitizing a few of the records in my collection. This set consists entirely of those dollar-bin records that I ripped, as well as original unreleased music. Assembling this set, I tried to pick records that both inspire and mirror my productions; a mix of deep driving house and dubby old school techno.”
