Adverse childhood experiences (ACEs) are traumatic events before the age of 18 that are emotionally or physically harmful. These events can have a serious impact on health and well-being from childhood through to adulthood. ACEs can affect everyone, regardless of their background. Luckily, research shows that mitigating the impacts of ACEs is possible. The goal of ACEs Hub (https://www.aceshub.org/) is to consolidate and share scientific research on ACEs to guide clinical practice and inform policies aimed at improving the health of individuals affected by ACEs.
