Chance Bellegarde: part entrepreneur, part artist, part “how is he doing all of this on three hours of sleep and pure audacity?”
Founder of Redman Customs, Chance doesn’t just make things—he summons them. One minute it’s a luxury hardwood cutting board with more intention than your last five life decisions combined, the next it’s a full-blown Indigenous market with vendors, music, kids crafting, and somehow… Santa? Man runs on creativity, community, and a suspicious amount of last-minute brilliance.
Known for turning raw wood into heirlooms and ideas into movements, Chance operates somewhere between “skilled craftsman” and “chaotic visionary.” He’ll be negotiating bulk corporate orders, designing ribbon skirts, planning an event, and answering messages—all while mentally drafting his next project that will absolutely be bigger than the last one (it always is).
If you ask what he does, the answer is unclear. Artist? Organizer? Business owner? Cultural connector? The truth is: he’s all of it, just slightly unhinged and running at 110%.
Catch him mid-project covered in sawdust, replying “yeah I can do that” to something he has not yet figured out—but will. Somehow. Every time.
I think I’ll let the wood do the talking here. Holy smokes once I buttered it up the grain just stole the show. 😳

May 5 marks the National Day of Awareness for Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women, Girls, and Two-Spirit People (MMIWG2S+). It is a day to recognize lives lost, to stand with families, and call for action.
We invite you to join us on Tuesday, May 5 at the Holy Gathering Place located at The Confluence Historic Site & Parkland. Together, we will walk in remembrance, raise awareness, and stand in solidarity with families and communities impacted by this ongoing tragedy. This is a time to reflect, to honour the lives lost, and to commit to continued action and change.

Little bit of a long one but join me in the process of turning a mistake into a feature with some inlays.
Well this project is finally nearing completion. There were a few hiccups at various stages along the way but I am happy with end result.
These will be heading to a school just outside the city. To be hung as signs. They’re 3 feet long and between 10-12 inches. The art is all done freehand in a pictographic style using red ochre.
