I preserve a lot of flowers for people both Wedding & Memorial. These creations were a little harder on my soul to create. They are from my own Dad’s memorial. I miss him every single day….

The trunk is complete. Before and after photos here.

There is a short story to go with this trunk. My dad had found three trunks to refinish, one for my mom, one for my brother and one for me. He had finished the ones for my mom and brother, but the cancer took him before he could work on mine.

I decided to finish it myself. I miss you so much Dad and I hope, wherever you are, you like the work I did….

Painting the canvas in the trunk turned out awesome!!! I love it! Now to work on the trim!

Steamer trunk is now lined with aromatic cedar. It smells sooo good and looks beautiful too! Next up starting the paint.

Next update! I found antique brass! I thought all the hardware was steel but it is, in fact a mixture of steel (corners and closing hardware) and the rest is antique brass!
