I haven't posted on Facebook in a while so here is an update.

Been busy busy. Somehow I have established an entire School side to my portfolio. It's just one shoot at the moment but I think it could become something I can offer.

I went and took 'grad' photos at the daycare that both Jordanna and Jaxxon have now gone to. May seem funny that 5 year old's have a grad but a lot of them have been going there together since the age of 1. They only offer Kindergarten as a 'private school' option so for many it's been 5 or 6 years and they are all off to bigger schools, new friends, new teachers in new places. For 12 years we have been going in and out of that daycare and it just so happened I was given an opportunity to take photos and offer prints.

This past week I developed an almost automated system. Most tasks can been done in bulk or batches. Sheet sizes are calculated and templates are made. I removed the green screen from the photos. I went through thousands of photos to pick a few as backgrounds. Then formatted them for at least 6 variations of print sizes. I have been back and forth to the printer. Set up colour profiles and have done test prints. Written an entire 7 page contract for schools. developed an ordering system with proof sheets, envelopes, and order forms.

It's been an exhausting vacation week. But I think it's all turned out looking really good.. Now. I'm off to bed to be up early to deliver my first set of school photo proofs and order forms.

Looking for a piece of drone footage for a school/college/university/work project? Don’t have time to get a pilots certificate? Don’t know the rules? Don’t have a drone? Well, I might be able to help!

I’m fairly new to flying drones and need an excuse to get out. I have a Basic Pilots Certificate (Please look into limitations before considering hiring). I own a Phantom 3 4K, not the latest and greatest but definitely worthy enough for some scenic shots. After final payment and delivery of footage, it’s all yours! No copy write limitation or royalties required (I may use it myself though, depends on our agreement).

If you think I’d be an ok fit, hit me up. Text works best. I’m available pretty much anywhere within a days time of Calgary, there and back. Travel outside the Calgary area will have to be a per kilometer charge based on distance and is required up front. I drive bus professionally for a living so a week minimum notice is best and I can usually get around the days you need.

$20 - me and a charged battery. You get the full charge length and any input I can provide. You don't have to be there. I'll pop in to film and leave, most likely. Has to fit into my schedule. Nothing extra. I'll buzz until dead and give you the raw footage.
($20 all up front, gas yo)

$250 - an entire day dedicated, dependent on schedule. Still only one battery but now you have my full attention and assurance I’ll be there on a specific date. Also, we can charge the battery, we have the technology.
($180 up front, $70 upon footage delivered)

$300 - an entire day dedicated, dependent on schedule. I'll bring my Canon 600D with some video accessories.
($180 up front, $120 upon footage delivered)

Editing and creation of content is possible. I have a tight schedule and I'll run at a cost of $50/hr. End product is yours. Rights to music can be discussed and may be an additional charge.

A nice drive out of the city is ok. .14 cents per kilometer, return from T3A 5N3. Travel must be paid above the cost and before I leave. Travel charges are non-negotiable and nonrefundable. I have a six seater truck. Want a ride, where we going?

Payments are super flexible. I have a square reader so even tap to pay is a go.

It's been a while since I posted. Getting out, shooting and editing is almost impossible with a 2yr old boy at home full time. This time I took him and his sister with me to fly the drone and we garbed some shots to make a panorama.
