Hey, neighbour!

Last night I was happy to attend the Highland Park Community Association, Calgary AGM and to speak to neighbours about issues in their community. My goal over the past month has been to attend all of the Ward 4 AGMs so I can listen and learn from our Community Associations to represent their needs on Calgary City Council. I strongly believe that there needs to be a strong connection between council and community to address the needs of neighbours in Ward 4.

Hey, neighbour!

Join me on Neighbour Day across Ward 4 at these community events. I can't wait to listen to your thoughts, and celebrate together the spirit of community. For more details on all of the events across Calgary see calgary.ca/neighbourday.

Hey, neighbour!

Today myself and my Ward 4 team took a visit to the Calgary Wildlife Rehabilitation Society to learn more about their efforts to rehabilitate sick or injured wildlife. Whether it's cranes at our city's wetlands, pelicans on the Bow River, or the skunks, porcupines, fawns, and yes even squirrels, Calgary Wildlife is doing good work to get these animals back into the wild. I am also pleased that their partnership with the City of Calgary Parks and Open Spaces has been able to support their valuable work, keeping our parks vibrant with fauna to go along with the flora.

Hey, neighbour!

Stampede season is almost upon us, but I'm so glad I got to join the Edgemont Community Association over the past weekend to get in the spirit with their Stampede breakfast. It was great to share in the century tradition of pancake breakfasts in Calgary, and connect with Ward 4 neighbours.

Hey, neighbour!

Partnerships are at the heart of everything that I do for Ward 4, which is why I was so pleased that my Partnership Lead Rukhsaar Daya was able to attend the Heritage Calgary Report to the Community today to help foster those connections from council to community. It was great to see that the iconic ski jumps from the '88 Olympics were recognized as the 1,000th heritage inventory addition.

With Neighbour Day just this weekend, I couldn't think of a more fitting addition than the jumps which recognize our legacy of volunteerism, community spirit, civic ambition, and of course neighbours coming together in celebration of Calgary at its best.

Hey, neighbour!

There’s still time to get rid of your spring cleaning that has been piling up at the Dalhousie Community Cleanup. On until 2 p.m.

Hey, neighbour!

It was great to see so many Calgarians at Eau Claire Plaza today to cheer on Team Canada at the FIFA World Cup. What a great way to celebrate our nation and our community. 🇨🇦

Hey, neighbour!

Last week I had the privilege to attend Edgemont Community Association's volunteer appreciation event. From snow angels to ice rink tending, Christmas hamper collecting, reading club volunteers for our youth, these volunteers represent the best of Calgary. I can't say thank you enough for the work they do to make Edgemont a great Ward 4 community.
