Your search engine optimization (SEO) strategy begins the moment you plan to launch a website for your business. Even if you dominate in the results your SEO work is never over.

Just because you have attained a top rank in the organic results doesn’t mean that your competitors aren’t gunning for you. They want your organic success, and they will work twice as hard to usurp you from the peak.

You must consider your website’s SEO strategy as an ongoing process. You can always be doing more to improve your organic results, retain your current position, or capture more searches by targeting additional keywords.

And if you aren’t dominating the keyword positions you desire, your job is to not give up. Rewards in SEO are never guaranteed; you can put in the time, sweat and effort and still face challenges. You might not see where the finish line is from where you are, only that there’s a lot more road ahead of you.

Just putting the work in on an SEO strategy is a good first step forward. Many websites don’t think about their on-site or off-site SEO. If you are thinking about it, you’re already taking the most important step that you could make.

Keep moving forward and keep your eyes on the horizon!

If you are in charge of writing the copy for your Google Ads don't forget to experiment with headlines and descriptions, even if your ads are performing OK.

Why? It's possible that the new copy may perform better, but there are other reasons to try out new copy. You may discover a new audience for your product or service that responds to the new messaging.

Copy that performed fantastic at first eventually gets tired and stale, so introducing new ad copy keeps your brand looking fresh. And, if you rely on repeat customers, new ad copy will say something new to people already familiar with your value.

A/B testing, also called split testing, is when web marketers try out two different versions of an element to see which one creates better engagement with users.

An example of A/B testing is testing out two different colors of a call-to-action button. One may be a warm color, the other a cool color. Given enough web traffic to the page the button that receives more clicks will prove to be the winner of the two.

A/B testing works best when only one element on a page is tested. If you combine several page changes together the effect of each individual change will be hard to determine, if not impossible.

Make sure that you give enough time and allow enough traffic to visit the web page before analyzing your A/B testing results. If your page doesn't receive enough traffic consider creating a paid advertising campaign to send targeted visitors to it.
