9lb chicken loaded with our honey maple bbq rub, and thrown on the smoker, low and slow til it was time to crisp up the skin. Flavor was amazing, and juicey was an understatement, for our first try smoking a whole bird this way!

This weekend at the Throttled Up BBQ Throwdown (KCBS), we heard our name called 3 out of 4 times and landed a 9th place overall finish—another walk in the books!

For only our second Masters Series comp, we’re pretty fired up with how things turned out. Even better, we had the whole family there pitching in wherever they could. And the highlight? Ruby getting to accept and rock our medal ❤️—safe to say that one meant a little extra.

We rolled into the BBQ throwdown, backyard competition with our sweet n’ spicy chicken dialed in—beautiful color, bold kick, and flavor that hit hard. Didn’t climb the ranks like we hoped, but that plate still spoke loud. Let's hope for better luck tomorrow!
