I chose the CNE because it's pure joy and nostalgia for most Canadians. The last place you'd expect to encounter danger.

The Canadian National Exhibition isn't just the setting of my new mystery - it's practically a character itself. 🎪
Think about it:

–Endless hiding spots behind game booths
–Crowds where anyone could disappear
–The perfect cover of carnival noise
–Temporary structures that exist for just two weeks

It's simultaneously the most public and most private place you could imagine. The perfect paradox for a murder mystery.

Have you ever noticed how different a familiar place feels when you look at it through a writer's eyes?

She's 62, recently widowed, and has read every Agatha Christie novel twice. She thinks she knows everything about solving mysteries... until she finds herself in the middle of a real one.

What would YOU do if you were abandoned at the CNE and stumbled across a murder? 🤔
