We have started our "do one thing a year that scares us!"
Testing a hay potato u-pick spot where the pigs were last year !!
We waited until the ground was wet and put our seed potatoes on the ground, then placed a generous amount of hay over top of them. The hay would stimulate soil covering them while also helping to restore the land that the pigs worked up.
🤞🤞🤞 At the pumpkin patch this season we will have a u-pick potato area where you just have to lift up on the hay and the potatoes will all be there!

We are going to have room on our egg subscription now that these chickens started laying.
When they first start laying eggs the eggs are about 2/3rd the size of our regular jumbos BUT they have a smaller air space (more eggs in the eggs), have a larger yolk to white ratio AND are more likely to be double yolked.
We had some double yolkers over the weekend and Mike said they make the perfect two bite eggos (like 2 bite brownies but healthy🤣).
