Did you know hockey rinks actually drill into their ice to see how thick it is?
Ice thickness plays an important role in ice quality, consistency, and refrigeration efficiency. By drilling small test holes and measuring at multiple locations across the rink, operators can identify high and low areas, track changes over time, and better understand what’s happening beneath the surface.
What used to be recorded with paper and clipboard can now be tracked digitally—turning individual measurements into trends, heat maps, and insights that help operators truly know their ice.

SUB-ZERO 3D - brings ice thickness and floor variance data to life through an interactive three-dimensional visualization never before available to the ice industry. Instead of reviewing measurements as rows of numbers, operators and managers can see the true shape of their ice surface and the underlying floor conditions that influence it.
