When fire was consuming the home of Wellington family Adnan Mustafa and Suhaila El Husein, 14-year-old Ahmad showed courage and determination, getting his sister and baby brother out of the house. The parents and all five children all just made it out with their lives Sunday night. They didn't even have time to put on their shoes. This is the third time the Syrian family has lost everything. The mayor has declared an emergency due to blizzard conditions - temporarily halting snowplows though staff remain on call and will plow to support emergency calls (fire and ambulance). Environment Canada is calling for "crippling" blizzard conditions to continue throughout the evening and overnight into Saturday.
