Help bring Autumn Shaganash home
Today marks three years since 26-year-old Autumn Shaganash was last seen, and as each day without answers rolls into the next, the determination of those working the case mounts.
On June 10, 2023, Autumn disappeared, seemingly without a trace. Since that day, her family and friends have had to endure the past three years without knowing what happened, where she is, or whether she’s okay. That uncertainty is a pain no family should have to endure.
On the three-year anniversary, Barrie Police are appealing once again for information and asking the public to take another look at the case.
Autumn was last seen in the area of Sunnidale Park, close to the Sunnidale Road and Letitia Street intersection, between 10 a.m. and 12 p.m. She was on her way to the Barrie Air Show at the waterfront with a male friend who was walking just ahead of her, and when he turned around, she was gone. Autumn vanished the same day dozens of people were in attendance for an ALS walk at the park. Police are confident someone who has yet to come forward had to have seen something.
Despite extensive investigative efforts and searches conducted over the past three years, investigators have been unable to determine what happened to her.
“Three years is an unimaginable amount of time for a family to wait for answers. We never stopped investigating this case, just as the Shaganash family has never stopped holding onto hope. The passage of time does not diminish the importance of this investigation. We believe there are people who know something and we are asking them to come forward. The smallest detail could make all the difference.” – Major Crime Unit Sgt. Brett Carleton
In December 2025, the reward authorized by the Barrie Police Service Board for information leading to answers in Autumn’s disappearance was increased to up to $100,000.
Once again, a digital billboard campaign featuring Autumn launched this week and will run throughout the month of June to help raise awareness. The campaign, made possible through the generous support of Pattison Outdoor Advertising, can be seen at various locations across the city.
The renewed awareness effort serves as a reminder that Autumn is not forgotten, and investigators remain determined to solve this case and bring her family those long-awaited answers.
Anyone with information regarding the disappearance or whereabouts of Autumn Shaganash is urged to contact Barrie Police at 705-725-7025 ext. 2160. Information can also be provided anonymously to Crime Stoppers.
Someone knows what happened to Autumn. Three years later, Barrie Police are still waiting for that person to do the right thing and come forward.

Have you ever fallen victim to a Narcissistic pastor?
A narcissistic pastor is a religious leader who uses their position of spiritual authority to center the church around their own ego rather than the well-being of their congregation.
They exhibit extreme self-involvement, an inflated sense of self-importance, and a severe lack of empathy.Core Traits & BehaviorsSpiritual Gaslighting: They often equate their personal desires or opinions with the voice of God. Questioning them is framed as questioning God, making congregants feel spiritually unsafe or doomed.Entitlement & Control: They demand special treatment, loyalty, and unwavering admiration. They centralize all decision-making and are highly threatened by other capable staff or volunteers.Fragile Ego: Any form of constructive feedback or criticism is met with intense anger, defensiveness, or shaming.Public Mask vs. Private Behavior: They are often highly charismatic, eloquent speakers who are well-liked by the broader public. However, behind the scenes, they can be manipulative, demeaning, and emotionally abusive.Lack of Accountability: When they make mistakes or violate ethical boundaries, they minimize their actions, blame others, or refuse to sincerely repent.Impact on a CongregationWhen a narcissistic leader is in charge, it often fosters what is known as a "narcissistic church". In these environments, the community exists to serve the pastor's vision and reputation, rather than the other way around. This frequently leads to high staff turnover, discourages critical thinking, and leaves members vulnerable to spiritual abuse. For more information on recognizing and navigating these toxic church dynamics, resources like Working under a narcissistic pastor: What it means and what you can do or Spiritual Abuse and the Narcissistic Church provide deeper breakdowns of how these patterns manifest and how to protect yourself.
Who's in the wrong ?
My guess is, the White car. People need to pay closer attention when they are driving.
But, people do listen to loud music etc. And maybe didn't hear the siren.
The police could've waited a little longer before proceeding as well.
Especially on a busy intersection on a Friday afternoon.
And yes, police always have the right away when the lights are activated
