How odd

Mornings are for getting up and running 100km, obviously

Trail running is mainly just walking/moving as fast as you can in less than ideal terrain, let’s be real

I remember the first time I ran from Canmore to Banff along Goat Creek I was so proud of myself and it was such a huge accomplishment and now it’s just a regular old Saturday long run??? Just 2 weeks after running 100km???? I AM SO GRATEFUL FOR THIS

Took Rundle Riverside this time around (have actually never been on this trail surprisingly) and was the perfect day, though running out along the golf course road had me a little 😵‍💫 only thing that kept me going was knowing The Scoop Banff was waiting at the end for us

I am SO excited to be working with Toronto Zoo Wildlife Conservancy this year in support of the Blanding Turtle Head Start Program 🐢

Originally growing up in Ontario with a cottage, a lot of my childhood was spent on the water fishing, admiring the turtles and watching frogs jump from lily pads as boats passed by, which makes the opportunity to work alongside the Toronto Zoo Wildlife Conservancy extra special.

This year’s Oasis ZooRun is in support of the Blanding’s turtles and ensuring this globally Endangered species doesn’t fall behind.

In 2012, as few as 10 Blanding’s turtles remained in what is now the Rouge National Urban Park, placing this freshwater species on the brink of disappearing from the region entirely. But to date, over 500 head-started Blanding’s have been released thanks to this program!!

I will be virtually running the 10k this year and have set a personal goal of raising $500 in support. If you love the turtles as much as I do, you can head to the link in my bio to donate!
