The secret is officially out!! 💍🏔️

On October 7th, 2025, Al and I eloped in the Canadian Rockies. We chose this beautiful, quiet hidden gem called Chephren Lake in Banff National Park.

What a day. We couldn’t have asked for anything better. The day was so incredibly special and so perfect in every way. We got ready at our campsite, hiked to the lake early morning, got married in the most stunning location (which we had all to ourselves!), hiked back to the car and headed to Moraine Lake to capture more breathtaking photos and memories, then cut our supermarket carrot cake out the back of Derry before heading to an Indian restaurant in Banff for dinner. It was the most wholesome, perfect day!

But we couldn’t have done it without our amazing friends, Cam & Kenzie 🩷. Kenzie was our registrar who legally married us, and Cam took all the beautiful photos. We are so grateful they decided to hop on board our crazy (and slightly last-minute) plan. It’s so special that we got to experience all of this with you guys 💞.

Our elopement was kept a secret from everyone, including family and close friends, and we were going to keep the secret until our UK wedding. But we changed our minds and decided it would be nice to share the news once we returned back to the UK. So, now everyone knows!

Our UK wedding is coming up and is going to be just as special. The elopement was the legal part, but the wedding is the true celebration. We are beyond excited to have all the people we love in one place to celebrate being Mr & Mrs Edgecombe!! 💗

A thorough test through all Canadian seasons. We’ve driven over 12,000km on them crossing rivers and driving dirt roads in the summer. Then the winter came around and brought snow and icy covered highways.

What’s more Canadian than chopping down your own Christmas tree? 😄🎄🪓

Such a cool tradition we’ve joined in on whilst living in this beautiful part of the world 🇨🇦. It’ll be weird not being able to do that when we’re back in the UK 😄
