Tarpon is a very beautiful species of fish. Its shiny body attracts a lot of people and to some, it might appear cute. They're not just beautiful and cute, they are also good predators who have fine teeth and a bony plate in their lower jaw which makes them able to crush other animals.

He’s not scared so why should you be scared?
Answer to that, don’t be! Remember that they do not have any teeth.
Interesting fact about Tarpon: They have a special ability to gulp air at the surface when they are in a habitat that doesn't provide enough oxygen.

TARPON RECORDS – All tackle 286lbs, fly 202lbs and the Florida record is 243lbs. Though it has surely been broken many times by fisherman who has decided to release the fish unharmed. In Belize, the tarpons are protected therefore are to be released once caught.
