We held two successful activities today, 𝐂𝐋𝐄𝐀𝐍-𝐔𝐏 𝐂𝐚𝐦𝐩𝐚𝐢𝐠𝐧 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐓𝐑𝐄𝐄 𝐏𝐋𝐀𝐍𝐓𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐀𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐭𝐲.

We acknowledge the assistance and collaboration rendered to us by Environmental Health Dept and Forrestry Dept. Let us continue to clean our environment and homesteads, as well as planting trees in our environment❗️

This is our annual workshop that is complementary to our annual Health Fair; Parent-Child Communication Skills, Caregiving, Child Development, Children's Rights and Child ACT(all these areas are covered).

✅️The workshop is meant to sensitive parents of their roles in caregiving and understanding of children rights and their responsibilities over their children.

3️⃣●𝗛𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗵 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗺
On annual basis the committee continue to host a public Health Fair in collaboration with DHMT whereby Mahalapye Central residents are privileged to engage on health related issues and access health services brought close to them. The program has been done for the second time and it will be for the third edition for this year.
-On the environmental health efforts, the committee together with the community engages on cleaning up-campaigns from time to time; litter picking, etc. Through this endeavours more clients are referred for further health consultations and enrolment where need arises.

Mahalapye Central VDC continue to be in the fore-front to assist through emergency relief measures as its part of compassionate program.

✅️The committee maintained one house that was gutted by fire for one family in Borotsi by replacing the door, windows and re-painting.

✅️The committee has built a one roomed house for the needy in Herero ward.

✅️The committee has built a two roomed house for the needy family in Borotsi ward.

✅️The committee has built a toilet for one family in Herero ward.

Hiring disadvantaged young people through Ipelegeng program who wishes to re-sit for their Cambridge Certificate to upgrade their points of admission in Government funded tertiary institutions. The hiring is for a certain period of months on non-rotational basis for the young person(s) to be able for pay for their tuition fees on monthly basis, until writing their exams with BEC. So far 1 girl-child has upgraded her BGCSE points and she will be admitted at her tertiary institution of her choice, from DD to BB. This success pilot project has been reported even to the full Council. 𝗪𝗲 𝗽𝗿𝗶𝗱𝗲 𝗼𝘂𝗿𝘀𝗲𝗹𝘃𝗲𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗱𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗽𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗶𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲.
