Today, Indigenous Ink Network honours Indigenous midwives, the women who have carried generations into the world while carrying with them the knowledge, traditions, healing practices and wisdom of our communities. 🤎
For many Indigenous communities, midwifery is more than childbirth. It is a living expression of culture, identity, community care and Indigenous knowledge passed from generation to generation.
Indigenous knowledge saves lives.
We recognise it.
We respect it.
We value it.
Today, we celebrate the strength, compassion and wisdom of Indigenous women who nurture life and protect knowledge for future generations.
Our midwives. Our communities. Our identity. Our rights. Our future.
🧡Honouring Indigenous Midwives. Honouring Life. Honouring Us All.
