Following its recent launch, Champ Online Mall has introduced a new feature that allows buyers to post requests for products they are looking for, enabling sellers to identify goods and services that are in demand.
The feature, known as Buyer Requests, is designed to create a direct link between consumers and businesses by allowing potential buyers to publicly indicate products they wish to purchase.
According to the platform's founder, the initiative seeks to help entrepreneurs make informed business decisions based on actual market demand.
"Instead of sellers guessing what customers want, they can now see exactly what buyers are searching for and respond accordingly," he said.
He noted that the feature would particularly benefit small and medium-sized enterprises by providing valuable market insights and helping them stock products that are likely to attract customers.
The development is expected to improve business opportunities on the platform while making it easier for consumers to find products that may not be readily available.
The founder said the feature aligns with the online marketplace's broader objective of supporting local businesses and promoting entrepreneurship through digital solutions.
Champ Online Mall, which was launched this week, offers businesses across Botswana a free platform to advertise and sell their products and services.
The introduction of the Buyer Requests feature is expected to enhance interaction between buyers and sellers while contributing to the growth of e-commerce in Botswana.
