This special event will showcase how we live out our school theme, Leadership Through Collaboration, and bring The Leader in Me initiative to life each day. You will also enjoy a luncheon served by our very own Students of Excellence.

Through The Leader in Me, we foster a school culture that emphasizes collaboration, leadership development, and personal accountability. The program integrates social-emotional learning, quality practices, and effective educational models. It empowers both students and staff to set goals, track progress, and lead with vision and purpose.

We are thrilled to announce that Francis Patton has once again won the *School Spirit Award* for our incredible efforts during *Think Pink Week!* Thanks to our amazing FPS community, we raised funds that have been donated to support breast cancer research.
A huge thank you to our parents, students, and staff for your generosity and spirit in making this initiative a success! π

We are excited to announce that tickets for the Francis Patton School Spring Production will go on sale starting Friday, March 14 for $12 per ticket. Please note that tickets must be purchased in advance, as there will be no sales at the door.

We are excited to announce the Green Future Initiatives Week at Francis Patton School, scheduled for March 10β14, 2025. This week is dedicated to raising awareness about sustainability, conservation, and making a positive impact on our environment. We would love for you to get involved at home too!
Hereβs what we have planned for each day, along with ways you can assist at home:
π± Monday β Wear Green Day
Kick off the week by wearing green (for $2.00) to show your commitment to a greener future!
At home: Encourage your child to choose something green to wear today. Talk about the importance of supporting environmental causes and how even small actions like wearing green can make a difference.
Students will view the Documentary: The Bermuda Ocean Plastic Project during Lead Time.
π‘ Tuesday β Lights Out Day
Classrooms and offices will turn off unnecessary lights for the day to save energy. Outdoor learning activities are encouraged where possible.
At home: Turn off lights in unoccupied rooms and encourage your child to do the same. Talk about how conserving energy helps the planet.
π Wednesday β Green Lemonade Sale
An eco-friendly lemonade stand ($2.00 per cup) will be run by student leaders. Students are encouraged to bring reusable cups!
At home: Help your child find a reusable cup to bring for the sale. Discuss the benefits of using reusable items instead of disposable ones.
π Thursday β Green Action Day
Classes will take part in a a mini environmental project.
At home: Work with your child to create a plan for one environmental action they can commit to. You can help them brainstorm ways to reduce waste, conserve water, or plant something at home.
Green Pledge: Each student will write one sustainable action they will commit to.
πΆββοΈ Friday β Walk to School Day
Students, staff, and parents are encouraged to walk to school from Shelly Bay to reduce emissions. We will be leaving at 8:40 a.m.
At home: Planto have your child arrive at Shelly on time and talk about safety expectations you have for them.
All proceeds from the Grub Day and Green Lemonade Sale will go towards Keep Bermuda Beautiful (KBB) to support environmental initiatives.
We look forward to seeing everyone actively participate in these events and work together towards a more sustainable future!

On Thursday March 7th Francis Patton School celebrated World Book Day with a Pajama & Pancake day and a Book Swap. It was a fun filled day for all! πβ€οΈπ

We are excited to celebrate World Book Day on Thursday, March 6, 2025, with a variety of fun and engaging activities to foster a love for reading! πβ¨
πΉ π Pajamas & Pancakes: Staff and students are invited to wear pajamas for a cozy day of reading and storytelling. Students can bring blankets and pillows and enjoy books by flashlight. Plus, our wonderful PTA is sponsoring a delicious pancake breakfast! π₯
πΉ π Book Swap: Students are encouraged to bring in gently used books to exchange with their peers. Stations will be set up in the assembly hall where students can browse and select books to take home.

On Friday February 28, we hosted a Dress Like a Scientist Day! π¬π§ͺ
Staff & students got creative and put together some amazing outfits ranging from doctors, IT techs and even astronomers! πβ¨

Francis Patton School had an unforgettable visit from Rhode Island FC. ππ½
Coach Khano Smith, a former Bermuda International player and captain, inspired the staff and students with stories of perseverance, teamwork and leadership. We wish Rhode Island FC a successful season and thank them for visiting the best school in the universe.
