U.S. President Donald Trump has stated that the United States will be hitting Iran “very hard tonight”, according to a post shared on his official social media account.

In the statement, Trump claimed that much of Iran’s offensive military capability had been neutralised and said the U.S. could seek control of key Iranian oil infrastructure, including Kharg Island, in the future.

The post comes amid escalating tensions and military exchanges between the United States and Iran in recent days.

🇧🇭 Bahrain’s Ministry of Interior has confirmed that falling debris resulting from drone interceptions caused damage in several areas, including Hamad Town and Manama.

According to authorities, an 11-year-old girl sustained minor injuries and received treatment at the scene. Falling debris also led to vehicle fires and damage to a number of homes.

Civil Defence and the National Ambulance Service responded immediately and have taken all necessary measures to ensure public safety.

U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) has released additional details from its latest military operation in Iran, along with footage showing a Tomahawk cruise missile launch from the USS Michael Murphy (DDG 112).

According to CENTCOM, the operation targeted Iranian military surveillance capabilities, communication systems and air defence sites. The command stated that the strikes were carried out in response to threats against U.S. forces and international commercial shipping operating in regional waters.

The video released by CENTCOM was provided by the U.S. Navy and shows the missile launch in support of the operation.
