We have a new single "Lay Of The Land" the first single we wrote after a 14 year hiatus.

In 2025 besluiten de oprichters Bent Van Looy en Niek Meul om Lay of the Land op te nemen, een nieuw nummer gesmeed naar het Das Pop-model, om de turbulente streken uit het verleden te vieren en te herdenken It is a call to arms, an investigation of the brother like bond that exists between bandmates, a mission statement to accompany this new chapter in the career of Das Pop. The overall tone is upbeat, heroic even, if a little wistful, wisdom comes with age, after all. Inspired by the arrangements of Quincy Jones, we built a solid base with live drums and bass, then added wonky analog synth waves and tropical marimba sounds to add to the escapist feel of the track.
