We warmly invite those who are committed to establishing human rights and justice, especially those who participated in the July Movement, to attend a special program jointly organized by the United Nations Resident Coordinator Office (UNRCO) and the Human Rights Support Society (HRSS) at Shahjalal University of Science and Technology (SUST).
This program aims to promote dialogue, awareness, and reflection among youth and human rights activists, focusing on the UN Fact-Finding Report on the July Movement.

দৈনিক ইনকিলাব, সিলেট ব্যুরো:
গণতন্ত্র, মানবাধিকার এবং ন্যায়ের প্রচারে বুদ্ধিবৃত্তিক চর্চা ও নতুন বাংলাদেশের বিনির্মাণে গুরুত্বপূর্ণ ভূমিকা রাখার লক্ষ্য নিয়ে সিটিজেন রাইটস এন্ড জাস্টিস নেটওয়ার্ক (সিআরজেএন) এর আনুষ্ঠানিক যাত্রা শুরু হয়েছে। এ উপলক্ষে গতকাল সিলেটের ঐতিহ্যবাহী কেন্দ্রীয় মুসলিম সাহিত্য সংসদের কনফারেন্স রুমে একটি সেমিনার অনুষ্ঠিত হয়।



সেমিনারের মূল প্রবন্ধ উপস্থাপন করেন ইউনিভার্সিটি অব ক্যালিফোর্নিয়ার পিএইচডি গবেষক এবং ডায়াস্পোরা ফর জাস্টিস-এর কো-ফাউন্ডার ও প্রেসিডেন্ট খোন্দকার আব্দুর রাকিব। সেমিনারের বিষয় ছিল ‘স্টেইট ভায়োলেন্স এন্ড এনফোর্সড ডিসএপিয়ারেন্স: প্রেক্ষিত আইনী লড়াই’।


খোন্দকার রাকিব তার বক্তব্যে বাংলাদেশে রাষ্ট্রীয় পৃষ্ঠপোষকতায় সংঘটিত হত্যা, গুম, এবং ক্রসফায়ারের ভয়াবহ চিত্র তুলে ধরেন। তিনি উল্লেখ করেন, বাংলাদেশের মানুষ কখনোই গুম শব্দের সাথে পরিচিত ছিল না। কিন্তু ফ্যাসিবাদী সরকার তাদের বিরোধীদের দমন করতে গুম ও ক্রসফায়ারকে একটি কার্যকর হাতিয়ার হিসেবে ব্যবহার করেছে। রাষ্ট্রের প্রতিটি অঙ্গ এতে সক্রিয় ভূমিকা পালন করেছে।" তিনি আরও বলেন, সাজানো নাটকের মতো কারা গুম হবে, কাকে ক্রসফায়ার দেওয়া হবে, তা আগে থেকেই নির্ধারিত থাকত।



সিটিজেন রাইটস এন্ড জাস্টিস নেটওয়ার্ক এর কো-ফাউন্ডার আজহার উদ্দিন খানের পরিচালনায় সেমিনারে আরও বক্তব্য রাখেন সংগঠনের কো-ফাউন্ডার ফারহাত শাফী চৌধুরী, এডভোকেট রফিকুল হাসান লোদী, রেজাউল ইসলাম, মুস্তাফিজুর রহমান, এডভোকেট মোহাম্মদ আসাদুল্লাহ, নাঈম হোসেন।

CRJN officially launched in Sylhet with a seminar on “State Violence and Enforced Disappearances.” Keynote speaker Khondokar Abdur Raquib highlighted critical human rights issues and the need for justice in Bangladesh.

CRJN is dedicated to promoting democracy, protecting human rights, and ensuring justice through research, advocacy, and public awareness.

Alongside these visions, CRJN plans to organize seminars, workshops and research initiatives as part of its activities.
