Studies have shown that microplastics (less than 5 mm) and nanoplastics (smaller than 1 µm) can enter the human body through food, water, and air. These particles have been found in the lungs, blood, placenta, and even the brain.

They may carry toxic chemicals and can cause inflammation, oxidative stress, hormonal disruption, and immune system damage. Nanoplastics, due to their tiny size, pose an even greater threat as they can pe*****te cells and cross biological barriers, potentially increasing the risk of cancer, neurological disorders, and reproductive harm.

The long-term health effects are still under investigation, but growing evidence highlights their serious potential risks to human health.
