Sharing my journey and the stories that shape it. Welcome to the community.
The next morning feels normal—but something isn’t right. Mary tries to stay strong, hiding her stress, while Monica struggles to even face the day after being humiliated online. When they arrive at school, the atmosphere turns suffocating. Whispers, stares, quiet laughter—everyone has already seen the video. At the center of it all is Nathan, acting untouchable. Mary confronts him without hesitation, demanding he delete the video, but his reaction makes one thing clear—he’s not afraid. Before things escalate, a teacher interrupts, and the moment slips away… but the tension doesn’t. Things take a darker turn when Monica receives a message from an unknown number: “Ready for part 2?” That’s when Mary realizes this isn’t just Nathan anymore. Someone else is involved—someone who recorded the video, someone who is hiding in the shadows. As the day goes on, Mary starts connecting the dots. Monica never shared that video with anyone… which means someone has been watching her without her knowledge. Even in a crowded school, they begin to feel completely unsafe. After school, Mary notices a black car parked nearby. It doesn’t move… but it feels like it’s watching them. Instinctively, she tells Monica to walk faster. For the first time, fear replaces anger. Back at home, things only get worse. The video is spreading rapidly, posted from an anonymous account with no identity. Just when Mary decides to fight back, Monica receives another message. “This is just the beginning.” Attached is a photo… taken outside their house. Now it’s clear—this is no longer just cyberbullying. Someone is targeting them. Watching them. Planning something.
And whatever is coming next… is going to be much worse.

The story starts with a very intense scene on the 13th floor of building A23. It is a quiet night until a fire alarm begins to scream. A woman named Ritu is in a total panic and starts shouting for her brother Rohan. Rohan is only 13 and is very confused because he cannot hear any alarm. His hearing aid is not working, so he has no idea that people are apparently in danger. Ritu is so scared that she faints on the spot. While Rohan is trying to wake her up, two men wearing gas masks sneak into the apartment. They are there to kidnap him and they are moving fast.
This entire sequence turns out to be a show on television. Mary was busy watching it until her sister Monica turned it off. Mary is really annoyed at first, but she quickly realizes that Monica is crying. It turns out a boy named Nathan has been bullying Monica by posting embarrassing videos of her on social media. This adds to the heavy weight the sisters are already carrying. Their father died of cancer and their mother left them, so they have to live with their Aunt June and Uncle Robin. Aunt June is very sick with cancer and Uncle Robin is constantly on edge because of it.
Early the next morning, Mary tries to sneak around to get ready for a school meeting. She accidentally trips and breaks a glass, which leaves her with a deep cut on her leg. Instead of helping her, Uncle Robin just yells at her for making noise and being a burden. Mary hides her pain and cleans up the mess herself. She then gives Monica a pep talk to help her face the bullies at school. Even though their lives are messy and full of pain, the sisters are trying to stand by each other.
