Zebu: A Name Rooted in Poetry, Wisdom, and Mughal History

I am Zebu — and yes, my name carries a story far older than me. I was named after Zeb-un-Nissa, the remarkable Mughal princess celebrated for her intellect, poetry, and spiritual depth. Born in 1638, she was the daughter of Emperor Aurangzeb and one of the most educated women of her time, a scholar, calligrapher, and poet who wrote under the pen name “Makhfi,” meaning the Hidden One.

My name is a tribute to her legacy — a symbol of elegance, intelligence, and quiet strength. Just as Zeb-un-Nissa’s poetry embodied compassion and reflection, my name carries a gentle grace rooted in the rich cultural heritage of our past.
