Cyber Security Post 4: Advanced Privacy & AI Threats (2026 Edition)
Goal: Awareness of modern, sophisticated threats.
• Step 1: Deepfake Awareness. Be skeptical of video or voice notes asking for money even if they look like your friend. Hackers use AI to mimic voices. Always verify via a secondary "secret" question.
• Step 2: App Permissions Audit. Go to your phone settings and check which apps have access to your Microphone, Camera, and Location. If a calculator app wants your location, delete it.
• Step 3: Digital Footprint. Google yourself. If your home address or phone number shows up, use "Remove Result" tools provided by search engines.

Cyber Security Post 3: Securing Your Gadgets (Phone & Laptop)
Goal: Hardening the physical hardware you carry every day.
Step 1: Update or Perish. Those annoying "System Update" pop-ups? They contain security patches for bugs hackers use. Install them immediately.
Step 2: Public Wi-Fi is a Trap. Never log into your bank or school portal on mall or coffee shop Wi-Fi. Use your Mobile Data or a VPN if you must connect.
Step 3: Physical Privacy.
Use a We**am Cover.
Set your screen to "Auto-Lock" after 1 minute of inactivity.
Turn off Bluetooth and AirDrop/QuickShare when not in use to prevent "Blue-snarfing" (data theft via Bluetooth).

Cyber Security: Post 2: Protecting Your "Daily Files"
Goal: Prevent losing your assignments or private photos to ransomware or accidental loss.
Step 1: The 3-2-1 Backup Rule.
1.1. 3 copies of your data.
1.2. 2 different media types (Cloud + Physical Drive).
1.3. 1 copy kept off-site (e.g., Google Drive, onedrive or iCloud).
Step 2: File Encryption. If you have sensitive files (ID scans, journals), use tools like VeraCrypt or even just a password-protected PDF/ZIP file.
Step 3: Clean Your Downloads. We often download files on school computers and leave them there. Delete your sensitive files from public downloads folders immediately.

Part 1: The Digital Fortress (Basic)
Goal: Secure the main entrance to your digital life.
Students often prioritize convenience over security. This first step is about changing that mindset with simple habits.
1. The "Un-hackable" Password: Never use birthdays or "Password123." Instead, use a Passphrase—four random words joined together (e.g., Blue-Pizza-Running-2026!).
2. 2FA is Non-Negotiable: Enable Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) on everything, especially your school portal and email. If a hacker steals your password, they still cannot get in without the code on your phone.
3. The "Think Before You Click" Rule: If an email or DM offers "Free Game Skins" or "Leaked Exam Papers," it is almost certainly a Phishing scam.
