🔴 What is a Steam Drum?
A steam drum is a large pressure vessel in a water-tube boiler that separates steam and water.
It is the main container where water turns into steam and gets separated properly.
⚙️ Main Functions of Steam Drum
1. Steam-Water Separation
Water is heated in boiler tubes → mixture of steam + water comes to the drum
Inside the drum:
Steam goes up
Water stays down
Internal devices (like separators & demisters) make steam dry and clean
2. Water Storage (Buffer)
It stores water to maintain stable boiler operation
Prevents sudden level fluctuations
3. Circulation Control
Water from drum goes down through downcomers
Returns as steam-water mixture through riser tubes
This is called natural circulation

VFD Panel

A VFD Panel is an electrical control panel used to control the speed (RPM) and torque of an electric motor.
VFD panel = a smart system to control motor speed.

1. Motor Speed Control
Allows adjusting speed for pumps, fans, blowers, etc.
2. Energy Saving
Can run motors at less than full speed
Can save 30–50% electricity
3. Soft Start & Stop
Reduces mechanical shock by gradually ramping speed up or down
4. Process Control
Helps control flow, pressure, temperature, etc
