Bangladeshi Architect, Writer, Film Maker And Photographer
Shakoor majid was born in Sylhet in mid sixties and his alma maters are Faujdarhat Cadet College and BUET from where he graduated as an architect in 1993. Beside being a practicing architect, he continued to nurture his child
hood passions in photography, creative writing on diverse issues and journalism. From 1996 he started writing for television channels. Some of his audience-pulling and highly applauded dramas and telefilms are LondoniKoinnya (Bride from London), Naioree and Boiratee, for which he received multiple awards from different cultural and journalist associations, both from home and abroad. So far he has produced around 500 fiction and non-fiction episodes for different Television Channels and other electronic media outlets., in 2016, he was awarded Shilpokola Padak in film section from Sylhet Shilpokala academy. Later in 2017, he had received his highest literary award called Bangla Academy Padak for his contribution in "Travelogue Section". In addition, Shakoor has authored 42 books on varied topics. He has bagged at least 2 dozen awards as best script writer or best director categories from across the globe. He is the CEO and proprietor of his communication firm called" View Finder".
