With only a few hours left before the 13th Parliamentary Election, I want to share something from the heart. Please take a moment to read this before the clock runs out.

Before you cast your ballot, pause for a moment. Think about what brought us here. The struggles, the sacrifices, the moments that made this opportunity possible. Think about what we were facing, what we almost lost, and what still lies ahead for our country.

This election is not just about who wins seats or who enters parliament. It’s about our peace, our sovereignty, and the chance to move forward after years that many believe wounded and exhausted our people.

Remember the events that shaped our collective memory — the BDR tragedy of 2009, the killing of Biswajit, the disappearance of Ilias Ali, the deaths of Saka Chowdhury, Abrar Fahad, Abu Sayeed, and countless others. Remember the shock and grief surrounding the assassination of Sharif Osman Hadi. Whether you agree politically or not, these moments remind us why accountability and justice matter.

Take your time. Ask yourself who is willing to acknowledge the past, protect what we have, and build something better for the future.

Your vote matters. Not only because of who you choose — but because choosing to vote means you refuse to stay silent about the future of this country.

১৩তম জাতীয় সংসদ নির্বাচনের আর মাত্র কয়েক ঘণ্টা বাকি। মন থেকে কিছু কথা বলতে চাই। সময় শেষ হওয়ার আগে অনুগ্রহ করে একবার পড়ে নিন।

আপনি যাকেই সমর্থন করুন — দয়া করে ভোট দিতে যান।

ভোট দেওয়ার আগে এক মুহূর্ত থামুন। ভাবুন কী আমাদের এই মুহূর্তে নিয়ে এসেছে। সেই সংগ্রামগুলো, সেই ত্যাগগুলো, সেই ঘটনাগুলো যা এই সুযোগকে সম্ভব করেছে। ভাবুন আমরা কী পরিস্থিতির মুখোমুখি ছিলাম, কী হারাতে বসেছিলাম, এবং আমাদের দেশের জন্য সামনে কী অপেক্ষা করছে।

এই নির্বাচন শুধু কে জিতবে বা কে সংসদে যাবে — তা নয়। এটি আমাদের শান্তি, আমাদের সার্বভৌমত্ব, এবং এমন এক সময়ের পর সামনে এগিয়ে যাওয়ার সুযোগ নিয়ে, যা অনেকের বিশ্বাস মতে আমাদের মানুষকে আহত ও ক্লান্ত করে দিয়েছে।

মনে করুন সেই ঘটনাগুলো, যা আমাদের সমষ্টিগত স্মৃতিকে গড়ে তুলেছে — ২০০৯ সালের বিডিআর ট্র্যাজেডি, বিশ্বজিৎ হত্যাকাণ্ড, ইলিয়াস আলীর নিখোঁজ হওয়া, সাকা চৌধুরী, আবরার ফাহাদ, আবু সায়ীদের মৃত্যু এবং আরও অগণিত ঘটনা। মনে করুন শরীফ ওসমান হাদির নির্মম ও নাড়া দেওয়া হত্যাকাণ্ডের শোক ও বিস্ময়। আপনি রাজনৈতিকভাবে একমত হোন বা না হোন, এসব মুহূর্ত আমাদের মনে করিয়ে দেয় কেন জবাবদিহিতা ও ন্যায়বিচার গুরুত্বপূর্ণ।

সময় নিয়ে ভাবুন। নিজেকে জিজ্ঞেস করুন — কে অতীতকে স্বীকার করতে, আমাদের যা আছে তা রক্ষা করতে, এবং ভবিষ্যতের জন্য আরও ভালো কিছু গড়ে তুলতে প্রস্তুত।

আপনার ভোট গুরুত্বপূর্ণ। শুধু আপনি কাকে বেছে নিচ্ছেন তার জন্য নয় — বরং ভোট দেওয়ার সিদ্ধান্ত মানে আপনি এই দেশের ভবিষ্যৎ নিয়ে নীরব থাকতে রাজি নন।
