I think job description is very crucial part for an employee at workplace. But unfortunately in our country job designing practices are often not effectively implemented. In Academic syllabus we used to learn job analysis. But it is merely for textbooks what I feel. Reality talks different in job designing works on personal preference.

As Herzberg two factor theory, the work itself is a motivation factor, where salary & benefits are considered as Hygiene factors. Planning, monitoring, evaluation & recognition are just for textbooks. At practical workplace leader is influenced by their choices. Every employee wants their job descriptions evaluating their job specifications. If job description is not specific. what to do, Where to go, how to do, whom to report, who is accountable these all are higher important than your salary only. Vague, unclear job description creates confusion & frustration and employees feel unanchored at the workplace.

Most importantly employees always want to get treated properly at the workplace as human being, not just as machine only.
