কুয়েতে মার্কিন ঘাঁটিতে মিসাইল হামলার পর মার্কিন সেনা ও স্থানীয় লোকজন গর্তে ঢুকে গেছে।

আর বাঙালি বিকেল বেলা মিসাইল দেখতে গর্ত থেকে বের হইছে!

যদি এ দেশে মার্কিন ঘাঁটি থাকত আর ইরান মিসাইল ছুড়ত,
তখন হয়তো মসজিদের মাইকে ঘোষণা হতো,

"সম্মানিত এলাকাবাসী, আমাদের দিকে মিসাইল আসছে। কেউ ঘরের বাইরে বের হবেন না।"

আর সেটা শোনার পর আমরা সবাই দলবল নিয়ে মিসাইল দেখতে বাইরে বের হতাম!

খাওয়ানোর আগেই রিমাইন্ডার দিয়ে দিচ্ছে।

ইফতারে অতিরিক্ত ভাজাপোড়া খেলে পেটে অ্যাসিডের পরিমাণ বেড়ে যায় এবং খাবার হজম হতে অনেক দেরি হয়।

খালি পেটে হুট করে তৈলাক্ত খাবার খেলে আমাদের খাদ্যনালীর নিচের দিকের ভালভ ঢিলেঢালা হয়ে যায়, যার ফলে বুক জ্বালাপোড়া বা গ্যাস্ট্রিকের সমস্যা শুরু হয়।

তাই সুস্থ থাকতে ভাজাপোড়া বাদ দিয়ে খেজুর ও পানি দিয়ে ইফতার করা এবং হালকা খাবার খাওয়াই সবচেয়ে বুদ্ধিমানের কাজ।

Watching Ammu have Iftar alone from miles away makes me reminisce about the hustle and bustle of the Ramadans we shared in that same spot decades ago.

My little sister used to sit next to Ammu, with me right beside her. My father sat exactly opposite Ammu, and my other two sisters sat next to Abbu.

We each had a dedicated spot, and there was hardly any space between us; we all squeezed in as close as possible.

The table would be covered from one corner to the other, with food filling every inch. We siblings used to fight over the Jelapi and we needed almost a kilogram every single day, you heard that right! Now, I can’t find that same taste anymore; I can’t even remember the last time I had one.

And how could I forget the TV playing in the background? Especially BTV, and those Islamic songs that played right after the Maghrib Azan.

Now, each of us has moved out, and my father is beyond our reach. May Allah grant Abbu a place in Jannah. But my mother has been left behind, alone.

If you are still with your siblings and parents, cherish every second of it because this time will never come back again.
