Celebrations of the Lord's Passion in Waroona @ 3:00 pm
✝
How did you feel when your name was announced?
I was really surprised, it’s the first time I won it in 8 years.
✝
Who's your hero?
My Dad because he takes me motorbike riding and we do more things when he is home from work. My Dad used to do FIFO but now he is home every night which is much better.
✝
Why do you think you won the MJR Award? Because I always make sure that no one is left out when we do class activities. I also use my manners a lot.
✝
What do you think about the award?
I think its great to have in the school so more people do the right thing to win her.
✝
What is your favourite thing to do?
I love to play sport, playing football, riding my bike and riding my scooter. Riding my motorbike. Doing knee boarding.
✝
What is something you will do with Josephine the Bear, while she is with you?
Take her to the skatepark, go on the knee board together, take her on my scooter and rides on my bike. She will sleep in my beanbag in the corner of my bedroom.
✝

Congratulations to our latest recipient of the MJR Award - Mrs Fuller!
✝️
Last year we had to put 'Josephine the bear' into hibernation due to too many cuddles. The school is very lucky to have our new bear 'Patrick' donated to us from Kobie in Year 5's grandmother. We thank you for your generosity.
✝️
Back to Mrs Fuller;
✝️
How did you feel when your name was announced?
I was shocked because I thought someone else from our community had been chosen this month. I felt so humbled that people thought I was a worthy recipient.
✝️
Who is your hero?
The two most important ladies in my life, my Mum and my Nonna. They are a inspiration and an example of resilience in its truest form. I’m so thankful every day for them ♥️
✝️
Why do you think you won the MJR award?
Reading through the blurb on my award it reminds me of lots of things I do for our school community, but they are things I do because I want to do them. I feel so lucky to be a part of this school community and hope that I am able to leave a mark on many students’ lives like my teachers did.
✝️
What do you think about the award?
It’s lovely to recognise those people in our school community who embody the MJR spirit and it is fantastic that we have been doing it so long at our school. It’s nice to thank those who give to others.
✝️
What is your favourite thing to do?
I love to spend time on our property with my family, my many macadamia trees, sheep, Staffy’s and of course Monty! Monty is my shadow when I am at home… when he’s not trying to make friends with the sheep!
✝️
What is something you will do with Patrick the Bear, while he is with you?
Patrick told me that he’s going to hang in the year 5 classroom and the library when I’m teaching Art. Monty has been eyeing Patrick off for a cuddle (which is a no-no) so he’s in a high spot keeping an eye on all the great things happening in year 5!
✝️

We are celebrating our wellness Dog Monty’s 2nd birthday on Thursday 9th March! To celebrate, we are having a free dress day (gold coin donation) and a donation drive for No Pup Cleft Behind. Nurse Kellie (and some extra special visitors) will be joining us in the undercover area at 8:50am as we celebrate.

Our Year 5 class will be channelling the 'Keep Australia Beautiful' campaign tomorrow by cleaning up all around the school grounds.
Families are encouraged to do the same around their homes and also embrace the very successful 'Containers For Change' program.
Every student will be bringing home a green bag for them to collect cans and bottles. If your child brings them into school, points will be allocated to their respective faction so make sure you support them in being kind to the environment!
If you already collect your bottles, did you know you can allocate them as a donation to the school by quoting our Scheme ID Number C10333294 next time you cash in!

Today is Ash Wednesday, the beginning of Lent for Catholics around the world. We begin our lenten journey by marking ourselves with ash. This ash is from burning the palms from Palm Sunday 2022.
Father Con reminded students the importance of Making Jesus real.

Available for students from the canteen window in the morning! Do not miss out!

Don't forget tonight's 'Back To School Night' for all parents.
⭐
Are you needing help with connecting to your child's Seesaw App to be able to contact their teacher direct? This can be sorted tonight!
⭐
Starts at 5:30 pm with awesome door prizes!
⭐

One of our awesome staff members, Mrs Tressidder has had a book published!
🦘
It tells the story of her family; her husband and son Brennel, out camping in the bush for kangaroo and bush adventures.
🦘
We are lucky enough to have a copy here at school if any students would like to read it.
🦘
Congratulations Jacinta!

Calling any parents or grandparents that are a bit crafty!
