Working in partnership with Australian artists and iconic bush poetry, we take inspiration from the Australian landscape to craft scented homewares that promote a sense of this beautiful place we call home. Headquartered in an old shearing shed near the historic village of Rockley NSW, we work with our wonderful local team, combining our love of Australian literature, art and design with the science of scent-making to translate it into our distinctive brand.

Beneath the winter's chill, the Southern Ocean breathes,
Waves roll like whispers, secrets in their heaves.
Stone lies, stoic, in the biting air,
Its presence tells stories, ancient, rare.
The Southern sky unfolds, a canvas vast and deep,
Stars glimmer softly, where dreams and silence sleep.
The Milky Way spills light, a path through the night,
Guiding lost souls in its gentle, distant flight.
A wild expanse, where sea meets sky,
Australia's winter whispers, and I can't help but sigh,
For in the cold and quiet, in the waves' embrace,
I find a piece of home, a sacred, timeless space.

This week marks 12 weeks since my beloved partner Matt passed away. After a very busy few months sorting a million 'important' things, launching our beautiful new Bush Magic range, and running our recent Hidden Landscape artist’s workshop with , I have decided to take a small rest.
During this much-needed break, I want to take the opportunity to thank you all for your lovely messages and ongoing support. This has been an incredibly challenging time (and will be for a very long time, I know), and your kindness has helped me immensely.

The ocean as muse is such great fodder for a creative metaphor here and a brag of artistic skill there. And we’ve always been drawn to the symbolism sunk deep in a painted seascape. The best watery paintings can express an artist’s deeply held reverence, can illuminate the boundlessness, the mystery of. Seascapes can layer through centuries of historical lore and legend. The very best can have us smelling and feeling the salt, the wind, sun on skin!

Everyone has a unique story to share, and ours revolves around a deep affection for the Australian landscape, which profoundly influences every aspect of our scented work. From the transient wonders of the bush, the treasures washed ashore by the ocean's tides, to the peculiar and enchanting flora and fauna that surrounds us – each of these elements weaves a magical part of the Southern Wild Co tale.

A quick stop on our way back from the post office at one of our favourite spots, Native Dog Creek. You know, they found a massive diamond in this creek in the 1800s? Can you imagine?! Right now, it's a sparkling early spring swim for Boris before the 🐍 come out and so lovely to be out in the bush, surrounded by fragrant blossom.

Happy floral Friday 🌸 we're sharing a bit info about our upcoming masterclass and today we're focusing on the amazing Nadine Brown and Act 3 of our masterclass which centres around 'The Sensory Tablescape'
We’re so excited about this part of the day! You’ll be creating a tablescape that's a beautiful feast for the eyes and made with intention that can welcome your guests like no other. This will be like the warmest of hugs, an invitation to gather, linger and encourage a deeper connection to not only each other but the captivating nature story that calls them in for closer inspection.
You’ll immerse yourself in a hands-on creative floral session with Nadine, learning the techniques, mechanics and design principles to create a whimsical compote table centrepiece. There'll be lots of hands on creativity as Nadine leads us through the art of interactive table styling. This will be a sensory experience of nature using edible, dried, fresh floral and foliages in celebration of honoring the seasons in all its abundance.
You'll come away with the skills and confidence to create an amazing tablescape for any gathering that will leave your guests positively wowed!

Now that our Styling the Season Masterclass has launched, so many people are sending questions that we thought we would fill you in on a few more details. Today we're focusing on the first part of big day – The SWC 2023 Christmas Campaign!
We know nobody wants to hear the 'C' word in September but it's when we always shoot our festive season campaign and this year we're sharing it with our Masterclass. You'll be part of the action as Cheryl (who created the first beautiful christmas story for us back in 2019) and Tania, creatively design, direct and photograph Southern Wild Co’s highly confidential 2023 Christmas campaign (it’s going to be very special this year!).
You'll immerse yourself in the art of crafting a brand narrative that resonates, and master the skill of evoking scent using an array of vintage, foraged and discovered items, all while focusing on achieving captivating composition, impeccable lighting, and the perfect mood.
Through this intimate, hands-on opportunity, you’ll not only grasp the intricacies of planning a successful product shoot, but also glean invaluable insights and techniques from witnessing an authentic photographic session, which you can then seamlessly incorporate into your own brand storytelling endeavors.

Our story
Southern Wild Co was founded by two friends who share a deep love for the Australian bush and all that it inspires.
Our work with Southern Wild Co is informed by our younger years growing up in the country and now, making our homes in the bush. We sought a way to share the evocative nature of wild Australian landscapes with friends and family, both here and overseas – and discovered the power of scent, captivated by its ability to arouse emotion and trigger memories of home in us all.
Working remotely with a small team from a converted woolshed near Rockley NSW, we’ve combined our love of Australian literature, design and art with the science of scent-making to translate it into our distinctive brand.
We invite you to share a little bit of the fragrance and wild beauty of Australia with Southern Wild Co.
