The Nine is aging gracefully. The planting around the pool area has created the lush haven I hoped it would 🌿🙂https://www.instagram.com/p/C8JCI4JPdTg/

Mt Crosby house. Much as I have been enjoying all the small footprint projects in recent years, it's a pleasure to take on a larger house project again.

Big love for Yoko at the Geelong Tiny House Expo!
It was so gratifying to see the "wow" reaction from each person as they popped up the steps. Although still an unfinished project, Yoko has a comfy, spacious feel that people did not expect from her exterior. Most popular were the ways the main space can transform for different uses, cockpit bed, bathroom skylight, sneaky pantry and sliding mirror cabinet.

These posts have become a little sporadic because progress has been.
Some fun stuff happening now though: First finished timber items, begun flooring, bathroom progress and made the base for the slide-out kitchen.

My idea of a pleasurable weekend: Perfect weather, lovely timber, a well-equipped workshop, evenings with family cooking great food, sleeping in the bus thinking about all the things to continue making the next day…..
Components in the last pic are for vanity, 2 x barn doors, slide-out kitchen and dining table. Start assembly next weekend.

Latest progress:
AC is in, quiet and cold. The 2 x 2.5 KW units were installed by the previous owner. I looked at moving the external units to the bins but couldn’t justify it. Would have taken up precious space and involved a fair bit of engineering. This is a 12m bus, so mounting the units on the (beautifully fabricated) rear frame is a good use of the 12.5m allowable length for a motorhome. No ventilation issues. The only advantage of moving the units inboard would be appearance. I think the installation looks neat and kind of works with Yoko’s “individual” style 😀
More work in bins: Finished running camera cables, generator on slide with drawer under, installed slide for washer / dryer, ran new airline for driver’s seat.
Cleaned up the under dash spaghetti works.
Body slowly getting prepped for paint.
Next week: Start building cabinets!

Here’s a longitudinal section of Yoko looking right. Plus a page from my notebook from first measure up, February 2021.
We’ve come a long way, and not far to go.
