How many trust signals does your website have? Have you ever given it thought?
When potential customers are browsing your website, you have very limited time before they skip to the next website.
You need to be able to not only provide the information they're after, but make it clear to them that you're trustworthy.
There are many different trust signals but here's a few common ones to get you started
✅ Be transparent
Be crystal clear to the visitor. Openly sharing information about what you do, what your product or service does. Having clear and accessible policies. Disclose on sourcing and practices. Anything that helps show the visitor your business can be trustworthy
✅ Show your expertise
Nothing gives confidence in a business more than that business showing they know what they're doing. That they are the go-to for a problem a customer is trying to solve. Show that in words, in your blogs, on product and service pages, in videos and in photos.
✅ Show customer testimonials
You have existing customers, ask them for testimonials and showcase that on your site. That external validation helps new visitors see that it's not just you tooting your own horn, that there is other real people who recommend you.
✅ Show videos and photos of you and your business
Sadly the world is full of people pretending to be something they are not. You're real, so show it. Pictures of you or your team at work, on location, out in the field, in photos and videos. That kind of social proof is worth its weight in gold.
✅ Cover answers to important questions
We're not just talking about any old question either. The real important and common questions your potential customers are likely going to want to know about. The more questions are answered, the greater chance you have of helping that visitor decide to buy from you.

The biggest killer for any business is inaction. The intention of getting something done but then never following through. Nothing happens if nothing happens.
Don't wait to kick-start your momentum.

Ever heard of search intent? No? Search intent is when Google makes an assumption about what the intention of the searcher is.
For example, if I search 'best headphones' I might be doing some research before I buy a pear of headphones by checking out articles that review different brands.
If on the other hand I search 'headphones discount' that tells Google my intent to buy is much more likely because I'm looking up if I can get a discount.
In this blog we cover this in depth and explain all the different kinds of search intent classifications Google uses and pose the question "what is the user hoping to get from their search" to get your brain juices going.

New milestone unlocked. 6 years in business! 🎉

If you run a business in Perth and your website has been around for a good few years, chances are it may need a refresh.
Content and design styles can become outdated and it only takes a new website visitor 8 seconds to decide whether they should continue to browse your website or to move on to the next.
You should also be asking yourself if your competitors' websites look up-to-date and modern. If they are, they're leaving you in the dust.
There may even be newer technologies or newer approaches to web design that could better improve performance, and its ability to convert a visitor into a customer.
Remember, they're not an expense, they're an investment.

Google cares less about a website made for Google and more about a website that's actually helpful to the reader.
So what's helpful you might ask? Think about the last time you visited a website to potentially buy something.
Did you get the answers you were looking for? What were those questions? Was it easy to find or did you have to really dig to find it buried somewhere not so obvious.
Did they seem to know their stuff? Was the information comprehensive but not to the point that it put you to sleep or bored to keep going with the reading?
Was the site easy to navigate, was it obvious where everything was and what it meant on the sites pages?
A great deal of people will often window shop a website to get intel before they make a decision on whether they should do business with them. So making the site as informative, easy to use, insightful and as helpful as possible will improve your changes of converting a visitor to a customer.
That's what Google wants to see. And rank higher.
How's your Perth website stack up when it comes to how helpful it is?
