“Every bride needs a Chloe in their life!! My husband and I got married in September 2023 and we still cannot get over how perfectly our day went. Having had no experience with event planning, I’m not entirely sure why we thought we could pull off a 140 person wedding at a blank canvas venue on our own. About 6 months into planning we realised we needed a little more support.

Chloe pulled everything together and brought our vision to life. Every detail was so well thought through and it was all thanks to Chloe. Her creativity and love for what she does made our experience so seamless from start to finish.

Last month, I hit a HUGE milestone in my small business by executing my 100th (!!!) wedding.

100 couples, 200 beautiful humans, at least 1000 vendors managed, probably a million versions of run sheets created, and the same old 1 bumbag the whole way through (😂).

This truly is the dream job for me, and I couldn’t love it anymore if I tried. I have been running this business solo for the last three and a half years, and while it has come with its challenges (hi! COVID, fires, floods, imposter syndrome, accounting softwares I have no idea how to use…), I wouldn’t change it for the world!

The HUGEST thank you to each and every one of my couples for entrusting me with one of the biggest days of your lives. I’m so glad I was there to create some calmness for you in the lead up, witness all the magic unfold on the day, and put out any lil fires that may have popped up (without you knowing!).

Have I said it enough yet?! I LOVE MY JOB X 100 + MORE ❤️

Our very own naughty corner ❤️‍🔥

I walked into one afternoon with my mum after seeing a snap of this “naughty corner” sign and had a little idea pop into my mind. As soon as I saw the checkered tiles, I knew it had to be done.

Our ceremony was in a bar, in the CBD of Sydney, while the sun set. Guests arrived at 5pm, were served champagne on arrival & then sat on the little verandah while we made it official.

The normally quite sports-bar-esque looking space was transformed into a moody jungle, with the most incredible flowers I’ve ever laid eyes on by .wilds.sydney. I remember being too nervous to look at Stephen, or our family and friends, so I just kept staring behind me and saying “wow”.

Post ceremony, we practically sprinted up the aisle while “Gimme Gimme Gimme” blared through the speakers, and lead our guests next door into a completely different space- a restaurant adorned in disco balls, hot pink flowers & fruit.

We then turned around and got to welcome our guests into our own wedding reception, instead of making an entrance ourselves. We had already spent a couple hours together earlier in the day to calm the nerves (lol, didn’t work for me), have a wine & have a frollick in the city with & .

IT WAS SO MUCH FUN. IT WAS EVERYTHING. IT WAS SO US.

TWO OF OUR FAVOURITE HUMANS ON THE PLANET GOT MARRIED & WE GOT TO BE THERE TO HELP MAKE IT HAPPEN 🤯

Now unlike the bride, Mrs herself, I am not a woman of many words. Except for WOW, ICONIC, SLAY etc. And to be fair, those three words really do sum up this incredible festival of love for these magnificent humans.

Those who are lucky enough to know Loz & Rhys know that they are two of the most warm, FUN, and ridiculously generous humans you will ever meet. They put everyone (including their couples) above themselves, and are always looking for ways to make everyone’s lives around them a little better/brighter/more-magical.

So! It’s no surprise that their day was filled with so much love it felt like at any moment we all could have spontaneously combusted.

With a vendor team PACKED with some of their bestest friends in the world, two different cocktail hour areas (totally 3.5hrs of mingles/margaritas), a literal magician, the one & only .chats, 6 different ridiculously talented music-makers, GF pasta coming out the w***o, and no other scene but the magical - how could it not be the most fun since sliced bread? Spoiler; IT WAS.

Tori & Sash couldn’t decide if they wanted a classic white wedding, or a pop of colour, so we settled on BOTH. ❤️‍🔥

Their ceremony was set in the gardens at , with a classic green & white floral installation (more to come of this). As they walked back up the aisle, guests showered them in hot pink petals to kick off the party (more to come of this, also) and they were then welcomed into the reception with a burst of colour 🍒

YOUR DAY BY CHLOE TURNS 3!

What a whirlwind the past three years have been. Moving to Sydney, starting a business just before a pandemic threw all our plans in the bin, making lifelong friends in the industry, planning a wedding of my own & a whole lot of YOURS. Undoubtedly the best three years of my life so far.

I’m so grateful for all of the support I have received from my industry friends, especially since making the move here to Newcastle a few months ago, so it only felt right to invite a few of my new local vendor friends to celebrate with me on Monday night. And celebrate we did!!

A huge shout out to the beautiful .photography for these snaps, my husband for the unreal blooms, my fav .chats for the video that no one is ready for, the fabulous for making me look this cute, the gorgeous Amelia & her mum Lia , the legend that is Jesse for keeping us hydrated, for the best cake in the WORLD.

TOP GETTING READY TIPS FOR YOUR WEDDING DAY 💅🏼

Select your crew wisely, and only surround yourself with people who are going to make you feel calm & bring the good vibes.

Ensure you have a BANGING playlist to set the tone for the entire day. A good speaker is also a must.

You will not want to eat but you MUST. Have a beautiful fresh fruit platter for you & your crew, as well as something more substantial and carby to soak up those early morning mimosas.

Have your hair & makeup finish time set for AT LEAST 1.5hrs before you need to depart for the ceremony. One hour for photos getting ready, 30 mins for time to chill so you’re not screaming out the door like a lunatic to get to your ceremony on time. Your photographer will thank you when they have plenty of time to beat you to the ceremony, too!

Have a professional planner or coordinator onsite at your venue to oversee setup, and to be your eyes and ears on the ground. Trust me- this will make you feel twenty billion times more chilled while getting ready.

PSA: choosing a photographer is not all about the photos 📸

Your photographer spends the majority of your wedding day right there by your side. They’re with you while you’re getting dressed, seeing each other for the first time, your first kiss & every moment in between. So while it’s super important to find someone who takes amazing photos, and has an editing style that you LOVE, it’s also important to choose someone who matches your vibe. An extension of your wedding party. A mate who happens to also be very talented in the photo taking department.

So make sure before you book, you are meeting with, drinking with, zooming with or even having a quick chat over the phone with the photographers you are considering. When you know, you know!

And if you get stuck, I’ll send you the super duper exclusive list of 10/10 legends I work with on a regular basis, who are all stupidly talented.

Thank you to my fam for hosting the most wonderful end of year celebration. It’s been a wild ride through fires, floods & postponements but we made it!!

I’m so grateful for all the support I’ve received this year from my industry friends, my own family & my beautiful couples. This year has been unlike any other and I am very much looking forward to a much calmer (here’s hoping!) 2023.

I am taking on a MUCH smaller number of weddings next year, which means more time to spread my love around, build connections with each & every one of you, and spend a lot more time at home with my little fam. CANNOT WAIT. Big love, Chloe x

Want to know how to make your wedding party photos this much fun?!

✨ Don’t go for photos straight away. If the run sheet allows, I will always suggest that my couples stay and enjoy the first part of their cocktail hour before they disappear. Em & Jeronimo were able to enjoy a whole HOUR with their guests before we whisked them away for some photos. Make sure you allow time for that first drink 🥂

✨ Keep it short and sweet. Your photographer will be able to guide you on how long they will need to capture all those glorious pics. I always suggest to have your entire wedding party join for MAX 20-30 mins, then send them back to cocktail hour to get their buzz on while you and your lover enjoy some alone time.

✨ Schnacks & hydration. Who doesn’t want to stuff their face with champagne and arancini balls mid photoshoot? I always pop a time in the run sheet for your caterer to put together a box of drinks and snacks for your wedding party to take with them during photos. People are always more likely to participate with a lil bribe.

✨TUNES. A portable speaker with some low level vibe setters cranking is always a good idea.

✨ Book a photographer who you actually LOVE, like .photography. You spend a whole lot of time with them on the day so you want to make sure they are your kinda person.

So many people would ask me if it was stressful or difficult, and I could truthfully reply no, as Chloe was so wonderful, managing unpredictable and tricky changes all while keeping us in the loop. We were genuinely sad when our day finally came and went, as we didn't want to say goodbye.”
