Been wanting to get my hands into some clay…this was harder than I thought. They make it look so easy in the videos damnit!!! 🤣😅

Went and checked out my paintings hanging at St Andrew’s Hospital in the Common Threads exhibition by UniSQ today. Nice to see them hanging on walls other than in my own home 😄

These three beauties just found their way into the world beyond my studio walls.

My intention this year was simple stop hiding the work and let it live where people can feel it.

Experimented with watercolour, chalk and oil pastels, wax and markers! Still think I’m an acrylic gal but it’s fun to play! 😄

Well this was a bit of fun! This piece started as nothing more than a playground…testing spray bottles with high-flow acrylics, spray paints and layers on an old canvas that had already lived a few lives. No plan, no pressure, just curiosity and play. I love getting lost in the flow, letting colours collide and talk to each other while the rest of life quietly melts away. Somewhere between the splatters and chaos it found its own rhythm and became something bold, moody and alive. It’s the magic that unfolds the moment control steps aside and creativity takes the wheel 🙌🎨

Experimenting with spray paints, high flow acrylics and silicone to see what cool effects I can make. I now have a long list of spray paint colours I want to buy…and maybe a face mask should be in that list too 😅

Letting myself play here. No plan, no outcome…just colour, curiosity, and seeing what wants to emerge.
It feels like there’s more to uncover… this one might evolve a little further. 🌀🎨

Wow… I still can’t believe what a hit my “Find the Black Cat” 🐈‍⬛ painting was!
I’ll definitely be creating more interactive, playful pieces like this - it was such a joy to see everyone engage.

(And next time I’ll be even more organised and have little prizes for the kiddies 🍭😉)

One of my favourite parts of creating abstract art is hearing what you see in the paintings. The different perspectives, stories, and interpretations absolutely blow me away every time.
