Breaking out my finest winter flanno today to stay warm while hacking out this backflow prevention device camouflaged in the bushes...then straight into hi vis and some thermostatic mixing valve (TMV) commission testing 👍🏼🪣

Today’s mission: Testing some valves hidden better than my TV remote.

Location: Somewhere between the plant room, Narnia, and a janitor’s closet that hasn't seen daylight since 1984.

Status: Standing room only.💦🪣

Today I performed open-heart surgery on an RPZ backflow device. The patient was leaking, gurgling, and refusing to cooperate.

I cracked it open like a crab 🦀 leg at Xmas lunch and found a spring that looked like it had been through 3 divorces and a flood.

But don't worry—after some deep therapy (Vinoleo and words of encouragement), it's back in action👍🏼☺️

It's been another busy week for this week from the rolling hills of Darlington, to our friends at Sri Lanka Buddhist Monastery to Logan (forgot to take photos there😂). No photos of my rude head this week just enjoy the scenery 🌲😀
