What not to do 🥸...
Geelong Miniature Aircraft Association updated their address.
Field is coming up a treat. New strip it's getting better and better.
Little reminder to everyone the Christmas BBQ is only a couple of weeks away. 11th December.
Well the time has come. The grass has grown and been trimmed ready for takeoff. The Teesdale field will be open for general flying from 9am Saturday.
Can't wait to test it out. Look forward to seeing as many of us out there over the weekend. Just a reminder to sign in via QR code or book and abide by the current government covid directions.
Happy flying
Grass is starting to come through thick and fast.
Not long now and we will be back and flying.
Big few days this week seeding and watering the new strip. Hopefully with some rain and Sun it will grow quick. Big thanks to Phil and Jarrod for the hard work that was put in to help make it happen.
Ground works are now in full swing for the runway and pits area. Ground works and leveling will be completed Saturday with new seed to be planted in the near future. This does mean the field will be closed to all flying during the time we are waiting for the grass to establish but we are sure the wait will be worth it. Will keep people posted on the progress.
The evolution of the STICK
Well despite some Arctic wind and freezing temps the STICK day went ahead. A couple braved the wind and flew but most enjoyed the catch up.
Will organise take two in a couple of months time and have another go so stay tuned.
I guess you could say congratulations to Damo for picking up this year's crash off the year award for 2020. But you can say congratulations to Jimmy on being awarded the best club treasurer by the CBA. Both picking up a RCWorld.com.au voucher for their efforts. Tanks again to Tates Toyworld Geelong for the great prizes.

Great weather down at the field today. Great to be out flying again.
Well finally there time has come when we have been released from our Vic regional restrictions. As of tomorrow the Teesdale field will be open once again. A few rules still apply so please follow all rules set out by the DHHS. The key points we are to abide by are
1: maximum of 10 people at the field at any one time.
2 : face masks must be worn at all times
3 : 1.5 m social distancing must be observed.
Please be courteous to other club members as we have the limited numbers at one time. So please come, fly and head home of someone is waiting to confer in for a fly. Hopefully the restrictions will be eased further soon and we can increase the numbers.
As always stay safe and happy flying.
Usually this time of year a few of us make the trip to Shepparton for the Valley Radio Flyers Shepparton Mammoth Scale Rally. Sadly this year it has been cancelled so lets re live some past years with a few pix from the last couple of years.
Fingers crossed this awesome event can come back bigger and better in 2021.
Choose wisely.....
Couple more videos from today.
What a stunning day down at the field. And entertaining to say the least. RIP BOOMERANG.
The time has finally come when we can visit the field for a fly again. The Teesdale field is back open for all to fly.
Strict social distancing rules do apply and a max number of 10 are permitted at the field at one time. Also keep in mind the 1.5m social distancing rule still applies. If all members could please keep this in mind and be courteous to other members things will go smooth. As we are only allowed 10 at one time please if you do not intend to fly stay home and give others the chance to fly. Remember also if you have any cold or flu like symptoms DO NOT visit the club field.
With this said stay safe and happy flying.
