There are two posts on this page which have been being actively promoted recently that I am aware have attracted quite a number of reactions and comments. I am more interested in your Shares than your comments, thank you very much.

Nothing has been reported to me as moderator so I have not read all of the comments and I have not taken any action, however I have skimmed some pretty negative stuff. Dammit, I always forget to turn the comments off. Anyway I recommend that you ignore the comments.

I'm not going to shut you down for contradicting the post. But somehow it seems that it's the "NO" campaign that's being divisive here. If you don't want to join in, ignore it and move on. Don't deface it on your way by and spoil the fun for everybody else.

The people of Sydney need to show their solidarity with Ukraine and demand stronger action from our federal government and its allies. Major cities around the world are lighting monuments with the colours of the Ukrainian flag while our government dithers on taking firm action against Russian interests, and once again fails to lead by example. If it was good enough to light up the Sydney Opera House for a horse race, then it should already be lit up in blue and gold - for as long as it takes. Other parts of the city should also be highlighted. Australian Ukrainians should be encouraged to gather at the focal point of our cities where they can attract the most international attention, and we should be there to support them. And that support should be reflected in our governments' actions.

While I'm happy to see BLM protests proceed in Sydney, I can't agree with the protests in Victoria. Or the UK for that matter. Black deaths in custody is an issue that continues throughout the pandemic, whereas COVID is about common sense. It's disturbing that people should mobilise over an issue such as this.
