NSW ATASDA is the very active Branch in NSW, meeting at Epping Creative Centre, 26 Stanley Rd, Epping NSW 2121. ATASDA began as the Batik Association in NSW in 1974 and quickly broadened its interests to all forms of textile art and surface design. We're now a national organisation.

Also, for members exhibiting in "Preservation" and wanting to sell handmade items, it is an appraisal day for sales items. Note that exhibition artworks dont requireare appraisal, as they are not juried.

ATASDA members - there is still time to be involved in the Apron Project. Find full details on the project website,

Since February 2015 The Apron Project has been raising funds for women and children escaping domestic and family violence. Over 200 artists from around the world have contributed more than 400 stitched, painted and beaded aprons, raising more than AUD100,000.00.
This year funds raised from The Apron Project and the International Women’s Day High Tea will be directed to the Rotary D9685 Safe Hands Bursaries to underpin children impacted by domestic and family violence and Strong Arms Scholarships designed to support adult survivors pursuing TAFE or University qualifications.
Submission Dates
We would like all aprons back to us by 25th January 2026. We head out on the Roadshow from February 1st and can continue receiving aprons up until February 28. These will all be uploaded to our Auction Site. Our Final Showcase will be on March 8 – International Women’s Day at the Hornsby RSL Club in Sydney. To ensure we can keep track, please complete the Artist’s submission form Thank you for choosing to be a part of The Apron Project.
