Jusy sharing some before and after shots from one of my recent Balinese Full Body Massages which I was so B l e s s e d to experience in Bali whilst holidaying and also doing a little research and development for Shine On.
This one from Ani was so incredibly relaxing, I experienced so much healing in this 60min session and just floated around for the rest of the day which was divine. Slept like a log that evening and felt so much more energy and improved circulation the next day! Thank you Ani at the Selena Spa and Carmakila I will definitely be adding some of your techniques in for my clients this week!

Starting up a new lifestyle/fitness challenge for myself and anyone who would like to join in.

I’ve decided to call it ‘Flying High in July!’ This 6 Week Challenge is designed to improve my physical fitness, mental health and overall strength & vitality. 🌻🧘‍♀️🧡🏋️‍♀️

I’ve made a list of exercises each day that must be attempted and ticked off and alcohol is only allowed twice a week maximum.

Shine On Healing Space will still be donating to the Dry July fundraiser as I think it’s a brilliant charity and challenge for anyone wanting to improve their lifestyle! Giving up Chocolate, wine, beer, cocktails, rich food, ice cream, caffeine, shopping, the poker machines whatever you’re doing too much of, for a whole month isn’t easy and it’s a great way to create better lifestyle habits, raise awareness and combat addictions that quite often many people don’t even realise that we have.

Dry July is a fundraiser that encourages you to go alcohol-free or (anything else not good for you) in July to raise funds for people affected by cancer.

I have done the Dry July Fundraiser for the last couple of years so this time I’m trying something different that I literally just made up.

It’s a six week challenge starting with 21 days of a list of exercises that must be completed every day. Each week there will be something new and challenging added in.

The idea is that over two lots of 21 days these exercises and challenges will hopefully become habitual and after the 6 weeks they will be an easy part of my everyday lifestyle through habit just like brushing teeth as a child or making your bed as teenager etc.
I’m hoping to make daily habits so I’ve carefully chosen the exercises I think I can manage. So if you prefer Spin class to yoga or ice-cream is more of a problem than alcohol for you, or prefer skipping than walking etc simply swap things around.

Anyhow the focus is to be more conscious of being active and create new healthier habits whilst staying well hydrated and eating healthy in lots of very enjoyable ways for 42 days.

So that’s the idea and it’s now Day 2 and I’m into it, hopefully this will stay lotsa fun, and the results will speak for themselves at the end 🤞🤞🤞

Any days that I fail in the challenge list I will donate $25 to Dry July.

For someone that for many years now has always struggled through the cold Winter months, often feeling really down and lacking motivation, I feel like it’s already really giving me a massive lift!!!

Really enjoying a busy week of framing lots of beautiful art! These finished pieces are super special to the artists and also to us in so many ways. I think because you not only experience the beauty of the finished artwork at the end but all the ups & downs along the way, also helping each other, sharing thoughts and ideas, sometimes a little disaster here and there, it’s a roller coaster ride and it’s one we love, it’s just like life. Yes it’s fun, but also very challenging. Yes you do need to step out of your comfort zone, but if you don’t try something different, your life will just stay the same. Yes you will have no idea what the result will be, but remember, that you once loved surprises! That’s the YOU we like to see at the end! And that’s what our workshops are about!!! 💜💚💛🧡❤️
