the scene around early 2000 to stir the feathers of the local heads, Stray found no trouble in finding a place for himself and would go on to record and produce a majority of local Tasmanian hip-hop artists. Later producing the infamous Tasmaniaks track "Tas in winter" (which would end up being played on rage) and producer and Mc of the short lived crew, Copious Crew which featured triple j airplay. Now a well established solo artist Stray is not only a singer of all styles but an audio engineer and producer and usually dose all his own works and releases. He also runs a small independent hip-hop label called Cardboard Crown King Records and runs an annual fund-raiser called HEARTFEST to raise awareness to the rare Kawasaki’s disease his daughter unfortunately was diagnosed with at the age of 2. Stray has also grown a reputation of being a Tasmanian hip-hop advocate and demonstrates this with his ongoing works with schools and councils and the workshops he runs educating the youth on the music industry, hip-hop, public speaking and performing and literature. He has also produced over 21 releases to date ranging from free promo Mix-Tapes, to Eps, Lps and is onto his fifth volume of his series of "Instraymentals". Stray has played a lot of shows over his 20 year career and has played both in Tas and the mainland and has cemented a building cult following and supported and array of well know Australian and international acts.
