Fender is trying to own the shape of the Stratocaster. A body ruled too generic to trademark back in 2009, and now they’re chasing other builders who build something close.

But this isn’t really about guitars…

It’s about fear. The quiet kind that tells creators their best idea is already behind them, so guard it. I followed that thread somewhere I didn’t expect, and it changed how I think about scarcity, and whether there’s room at the table. It also gave me space to talk about some of my favourite creators❤️
