The team at St Peters Lutheran Kindy were busy last week attending the LEQ Early Years Conference. We attended many sessions on different aspects that help our team grow professionally and apply skills and knowledge in practice.
Some snippets of the conference days and huge shout out to our team for wining best dressed for “The Guiding Light” award at the conference dinner.

As the academic year for our 2025 children ends today, we thank everyone for their continuous support and partnership with us. All our staff at St Peters Lutheran Kindergarten would like to wish you all Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.
Our service will be closed after today and resume back on the 12th of January. Children will start on the 13th of January.

We welcomed Term 3 with the Braveheart Incursion today. Children learnt about the personal safety skills, feelings, warning signs, My body, esafety, and their own safety team of trusted adults. This incursion involved a live show, songs and dancing.

Term 1 was full of enthusiasm and excitement. We had educational incursions like Urban water utilities, Ipswich library, Ocean sea life education, Ambulance visit and ended with the Easter Bonnet Parade. We also had families involved with our Mind Bubbles info session and Easter Morning tea.
Our educators/ teachers also had professional development days and training on Mind bubbles, Autism QLD sessions, Circle of Security and Networking meeting with the Department of Education.
We look forward to more events and PD’s in term 2.

Easter morning tea with our Kindy children and families. We joined with Ps Matt sharing few songs and a story about the importance of celebrating Easter. The story of resurrection Sunday.

We had a great session for our families yesterday with the Mind Bubbles program. It was an interactive, fun session with lots of takeaways for everyone. I have received great feedback from families on how great Mind Bubbles program is and the simple strategies that can help to calm the emotions and self regulate.
