So much beauty and joy for me in this little snapshot. Iβm at Green Thumb Farm this morning running a homeschool group, and i feel so alive. π§βπΎ
The kids cut the banana leaves and wove a mat to sit on for morning tea.
We planted a lemongrass hugelkultur bed that we started last week, checked on our snow peas, and will pot up a few cosmos growing wild for them to take home.
Working in a food garden grows hope. π

Someone once told me that done is better than perfect. I took it to heart. π
This weekend was the launch of the Moreton Bay Farm Trail which is first step in what I hope will grow to be a wonderful opportunity to celebrate our local farms, and make it easier for the rest of us to find them and buy more from local farmers! β¨β¨β¨
I'm having a big rest day today in bed - it has been a wild and crazy few months. I'm tired, but happy. It is an interesting combination of emotions.

I was at Green Thumb Farm farm this morning at our community farm session when my lovely friend Cherie dropped in with her boys.
I gave them the job of picking cucumbers and this was the result. π
Donβt you just love it when nature grows something completely weird like this cucumber!
Growing your own food is just so much more fun than buying it. Full stop. π
Have a listen to Costaβs speech! Did he make that up on the spot? Itβs was beautiful. π

Big week at Green Thumb Farm - Alice from LOOP Growers dropped in for a visit to chat nursery, - Ellie brought Bandit (in the picture) to say hi, Carol popped by who was soon joined by Irene and the planted the spring onions, and of course Ian - well he was there of course working on his paving installation piece.
We admired the blackboard that John Salmond made for us so we can write out notices, and then as I sipped my coffee not too far away I could hear Nick and Liam from The Mini Farm Project coming up with big ideas.
