Today is Australian National Flag Day. It commemorates the day in 1901 on which the Australian National Flag was first flown. Since 2008, the same day has also been commemorated as Merchant Navy Day, which allows the Australian Red Ensign to be flown on land.

Today is a test on tax for the Treasurer.

This govt has added $100b to the national debt. We’ll hit $1t in debt this year and $1.2t by the next election. And the Treasurer is planning 11 deficits in a row.

Will he use this roundtable to stop the spending spree or to hike taxes?

Being the Federal Member for Petrie has been one of the greatest honours of my life.

Since I was first elected in 2013, I have had the pleasure of getting to know many of YOU across the Electorate. Thank you to those that have supported me over the last twelve years.

I couldn’t have done this without my family. My wife Louise, my sons William, Thomas, and Samuel, thank you for your unwavering support.
