At Physio Emma’s recent community talk, these were some of the questions women were asking, from pelvic pain and kegels to affordability and finding the right support.

Have a read of 4 great questions and some important reminders about why pelvic health care should never be one-size-fits-all πŸ’œ

β€œIs it the hip? The groin? The spine? …or the pelvic floor?” πŸ‘€

That was the focus of our recent ProfessionalEd session, The Female Hip, presented by FitRight Physiotherapist Jessica Vanson.

Drawing on her experience across sports, musculoskeletal and pelvic health physiotherapy, Jess explored how hip pain in women is often more complex than it first appears, and how clinicians can better connect the dots between the hip, spine and pelvic floor.

Key topics included:
πŸ’œ Common causes of female hip pain
πŸ’œ Assessment and screening considerations
πŸ’œ The overlap between MSK and pelvic health presentations
πŸ’œ Perimenopause and its relationship to hip pain

Exercise after having a baby can feel different. Your body has been through a lot. Whether you've had a straightforward birth or a more complicated recovery, returning to exercise isn't always as simple as "just getting back into it."

Our Baby&Me classes are designed to support mums from around 6 weeks postpartum as they rebuild strength, confidence and fitness.

Classes focus on:
πŸ’œ Abdominal recovery
πŸ’œ Pelvic floor rehabilitation
πŸ’œ Strength and resistance training
πŸ’œ Mobility and flexibility
πŸ’œManaging common postnatal aches and pains

And yes, your baby can come along too. We have our volunteer baby-cuddlers on hand to help cuddle, settle and entertain little ones while you exercise.

And because your instructor is a physiotherapist, you are likely to be able to claim a rebate through your private health fund.

Our next 8-week course starts the week of 29th June.

Class Times:
- Monday 11:30am (Ardross)
- Tuesday 9.30am (Ardross)

Everyone's wearing a weighted vest, but should you? πŸ€”

Social media says they'll improve bone density, build strength, boost posture, burn more calories, and help with weight loss.

Sounds amazing... but what does the evidence actually say?

The reality? Weighted vests may increase the intensity of activities like walking, but many of the health claims being shared online aren't as well supported by research as you might think. Current evidence is mixed, and for some people, a weighted vest could do more harm than good.

At FitRight, we're all about supporting your health journey with evidence-based care, not fitness fads.

Because the best exercise isn't always the trendiest oneβ€”it's the one that's right for your body, your goals, and your stage of life.

Has your body been asking you to slow down? Not every exercise class needs to leave you sweaty and exhausted.

Sometimes what your body needs most is a chance to move gently, breathe deeply, and let go of the tension you've been carrying.

Restore is our unique physiotherapist-led class that combines:
πŸ’œ Gentle movement
πŸ’œ Mobility and stretching
πŸ’œ Breathwork
πŸ’œ Release work
πŸ’œ Time on the Clinical Pilates equipment
πŸ’œ Strategies to help calm and regulate the nervous system

It's particularly popular with women navigating persistent pain, pregnancy-related discomfort, stress, overwhelm, or anyone looking for a softer way to reconnect with movement.

Restore isn't about pushing harder.
It's about creating space to move, release and reset.

An added bonus? These classes are physiotherapist-led and may be eligible for private health fund rebates.
