The hospitality here was one of THE most inviting I've ever been welcomed with at a restaurant, and our server Pierce went above and beyond to make our experience amazing. ! 🤗

Honestly - our dinner was positively delicious, and our mocktails complimented everything!

The only small thing is we asked for our steak to be Medium Rare, and it came out Medium Well 🥲✌️ We did bring it their attention and they apologised 👍 Despite the blunder, it didn't stop us from devouring it all! It was sooo yummy, especially with the homemade Chimichurri and Porcini Mushroom Sauce 🤗

The restaurant is small and intimate and does have a dress code. It is attached to the Bar and Beer Garden next door via a side entrance attached to a bottle shop.

And for those wondering, the restaurant uses halal-certified suppliers and cook all their meats separately ✌️😙

The fact that The Steak House is less than 15 minutes from home means I'll DEFINITELY be returning again.

It truly was an extraordinary first visit, and guess what? The kitchen closes at 9 pm every night, too, including Mondays! WOOT! 😜😊

And boy, was the big breakfast big indeed! 😅😱 Didn't stop hubby from inhaling it all haha

With so many sweet and savoury options on display, too, and REALLY great coffee (that comes with a date! Real Middle Eastern style!), you should really try some time soon because we REALLY loved our time here! 😍

Run, don't walk, to Ribs Lane in Mt. Lawley 😋😎

Famous for their American style BBQ ribs, they also do chicken wings, thickshakes, cool desserts, fab sides, and epic burgers, including plant-based ones. 🤗

On our second visit we had:

The best wiggly jiggly soufflé pancakes can be found at ! 🤗 And this season, a new flavour hits the counter tops!

Introducing the new Dreamy Durian pancakes and the new Milky Pandan! 💕

For lovers of the exotic fruit (I am!), the Dreamy Durian was soooo good because of the creamy musang durian inside and dehydrated durian crumbs scattered on top. If you love durian, this dessert is for you!

And the house-made Pandan Milk drink is as fab as it looks 🥰. Absolutely delish with all that smooth coconut milk mixed in 😋

We also got to try the Chocolate Cloud soufflé pancakes (without the Bailey's chocolate sauce, extra choc chips instead!) and Boujee Lychee drink with real lychee purèe, and I rate them both very highly!

Kumo is also home to their Instagrammable homemade Tiramisu of various flavours! They even use premium Italian-imported savoiardi biscuits and award-winning 'Monte Fiore' mascarpone cheese 🤗

Unfortunately, I didn't get to taste any because the Tiramisu isn't vegetarian friendly (contains gelatine), but my friend had only good things to say about the Matchamisu and Baby Biscoff when she tried it!

With Speciality lattes, smoothies, tea, and barista coffee also on the menu, is one of Northbridge's top dessert spots.

And if you've ever stopped by here on a weekend and seen the queue outside, you'll know why! 😛😍

Welcome to Nicko's Kitchen! 🤗 Privately owned and run by Chef Robert "Nicko" Nixon using home-grown recipes from locally sourced West Australian produce and products - there was so much to love about our visit here!

What we had:

- - Porterhouse was cooked perfectly medium, & the chunky fries were the best. The peppercorn sauce was smooth and creamy, and without those gritty pepper bits!

🌿 Beetroot and Goat Cheese Salad
- - How cute is the presentation?!!! 😍 Loved that the delicious black garlic balsamic dressing came in a little gardening can!

🌿 Chicken à la Jessica
- - Amazing dish with the whole chicken breast cooked through perfectly. The prawns and sauce worked so well together! Wonderful flavours throughout.

🌿 French Onion Soup
- - Incredible signature entree! Simply favour packed!

🌿 Nan's Lemon Tart
- - HIGHLIGHT of the night. Absolutely amazing dessert, handmade from scratch and rolled by hand!

🌿 Riz Au Lair Brule
- - Such a smooth, delicate rice pudding that we gobbled down to the last spoonful.

🌿 The bestttttttttt sparkling apple juices I've ever EVER had from WA company . We tried Granny Smith, Pink Lady and Apple & Quince. So good guys!

Chef Rob's ethos is all about great food made from heart with inspiration stemming from cooking adventures with his mum and nanna growing up. Every bite is a reflection of that. Honestly, you feel like you're dining at a good friend's home here 💕

With stunning sunset views just outside, the newly redecorated restaurant is also home to some fabulous woodfire pizzas. You'll also love the fact that 80%+ of all produce Chef Rob cooks with is sourced from independent local WA businesses, making him a committed member of 👍

Today, we got to try some items on their Soft Launch menu and, as someone of Indonesian descent, can vouch for their authentic flavours and generous servings!

With doors opening at 11am, we arrived at 11.15am and were fortunate to nab a table outside because NO JOKE GUYS, within 30mins the entire restaurant was CHOCK-A-BLOCK, with a steady queue/crowd of eager folks outside waiting for a free table 😱

With Melbourne and Sydney .australia already being SOOOO popular over in the Eastern States, it's very little surprise that the new Perth branch (which is also 100% halal-certified) is drawing in the hungry crowds 😉

Absolutely can not wait to return to try the other delicious looking dishes on the menu, their famous Ayam Penyet especially! Hehe

Feast mode ON! 🥵😋 Was treated to this amazing Warm Seafood Platter from ArtofSeafood on Mother's Day, and it was LIT! 🔥🔥🔥

Featuring a luxurious spread of cooked local West Australian seafood - including a personal fave: Singaporean-inspired Chilli Crab - the Instgrammable platter is the Winter Warm cousin of the famous Chilled Seafood Tower at AOS.

Set against the backdrop of our beautiful Swan River, this newst restaurant is East Perth's hidden gem. We've visited many times now, always with a table greeting (or friendly wave from the open kitchen on busy days!) from Head Chef & Restaurant Owner Craig Hicks.

Highly recommend a visit for your next seafood fix! 🦐🦀🐟🦪 We always have a wonderful meal here!

** Swapping the Kilpatrick Oysters to another flavour was easy, and it was easy to request non-alcohol in any sauces too 👌 The restaurant also uses halal-certified suppliers for their beef! 🤗

😱 Oh yes, sir, it was a crowded table of epic proportions, but feasting at Sana Freo did not let us down!

Throwback to our fabulous dinner here a few weeks ago when the rellies were visiting from overseas!

What you see here is the Sana Platter for Four...times three! 😅 Highly recommend trying it f you've yet to try it 🤗

WOW! 😳 We certainly stuffed our hungry bellies during our lunch visit to Salt & Pepper Grill last weekend! 🤗😝

For only $45pp ($25pp for kids under 10), you will receive unlimited entrees and mains from their menu! 😱

What happens is that all the entrees on the menu (and I mean, ALL of them) come out to the table at the same time, and if you want refills from any - you can! I highly recommend the Buffalo Chicken Wings and the Chicken Carbonara Pasta! The Cheese Croquettes were popular amongst the kiddos, too 🤗

When it's time for Mains, each diner chooses one from the Mains list, but if you finish it and want another, you can! 😱😱😱 Which is exactly what my 17-year-old did when he finished his delicious Rump Steak, then promptly ordered another 😅🙈

I had the Grilled Barramundi, and it was so good with the creamy potato mash. Hubby said his Chicken Parma was amazing, too 😊

The restaurant is located on a quiet street in Kensington and is one of those hidden gems to keep in your pocket for a cozy, delicious, and great-value-for-money meal out 😚👍 I would certainly return!

First of all, did you know that all PattySmith burger joints use halal-certified beef and chicken suppliers? And if it's not busy, and you tell them ahead of your order, they can clean the grill for you too 😍

We visited on a quiet Tuesday afternoon and treated ourselves to a Pattysmith Double (minus bacon), a Spicy Chicken Burger and one of the Original PattySmiths (which on Tuesdays is only $10 instead of $14).

Guysssss these were AMAZING burgers! 👏 Juicy and super delish! I love it when the beef patties are larger than the burger bun, and they totally are here. And the fries were well drained, super crunchy and addictive too!

I also had the Salted Caramel thick shake - which was the perfect companion to our burger and fries lunch. Highly recommend it!

PattySmiths also have one of the largest range of Plant-Based vegan burger options I've ever seen in a mainstream burger joint! And be sure to check out their daily dining specials, too ☺️

In the pre-ordered parcel were two gorgeous eclairs (Dark Chocolate 🍫 and their new flavour, Strawberry and Basil 🍓🌿) and a bag of scrumptious Meringue Kisses (I know they were scrumptious because I couldn't resist eating one as I drove home hehe 🙈)

Oooo I found a new place that is already in my Top Five Faves! 🤗

Ahead of its Grand Opening, I attended, on behalf of Perth Happenings, a private Media Launch Dinner for Miss Mi, the exquisite new Asian restaurant at the Novotel Perth Murray Street. 🌿

First of all, Missy Mi has THE largest non-alcoholic cocktail list I've ever seen in a Perth restaurant. Like ever. 😱 Matt and I tried SIX different ones between us that evening, with my fave being the Pandan Escape with its house-made pandan syrup 😋 Totally recommend!

And the food? PHENOMENAL! 😭😍 The mouth-watering cuisine is inspired by South East Asian culture, so there were spices and aromas I was quite familiar with thanks to my Indonesian heritage.

We met their Head Chef Alex De Leon, and he took time to explain some of the thought put behind many of his incredible dishes 🙂

Trust me when I say the food here is GOOD! 🤗 The Lamb Ribs with Szechuan Glaze, Kinilaw Pilipino Raw Fish Salad, and the Pemanggan Ikan Whole Market Fish with Spicy Taramind were my stand outs that evening! 😋

What's also awesome about the "Choose Mi" menu that we had that evening, is that unlike other restaurants where the Feed Me/Chef Menu cannot be changed, each 'Choose Mi' menu at Miss Mi can be tailored for each diner depending on their dietary requirements and preferences. Fab, right? 👍

Just from my first experience at Miss Mi, I was impressed. 💕 The food, beverages, service, and ambiance were all of the highest quality. Big thanks to Manager Chris, who made our experience that more enjoyable with his charm and humour 😍

If you do visit Miss Mi (and you should!), be sure to visit the stunning art feature outside that pays homage to W.A. culture and the neon-lit street hawker alleyways of South East Asia. 🤗
